“Fantastic Hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2011

We stayed here one night and could not have been more pleased with this beautiful, brand new hotel! The decor is so fresh, colorful, and welcoming. The lobby, corridors, and rooms were just fantastic. Truly, every part of this hotel is just top notch. The afternoon coffee and pineapple mini cupcakes were a nice treat too. The bed was super comfy and soft; and the bathroom was spacious and well appointed. The hotel is a short walk to Pike Market, restaurants, shopping, REI store, Space Needle, etc. We borrowed the free bikes and helmets which was a nice touch. If you like authentic tasting pizza and calzones, try "Bambinos" just a few blocks from the hotel. The only small complaint I have is the noise that comes from the hallways. There does not seem to be any sound proofing in the hallways- we could hear every door slam, foot steps, talking, the housekeeper in the morning, etc. Although we did not experience any noise while trying to sleep, it could affect a guest if they were trying to sleep in. We would definitely stay here again!!!

Usually when we visit Seattle we stay at The Watertown but we wanted someplace that allowed easier access to Seattle in the morning. Wow. The hotel is new and wonderful with friendly staff, a nice room, a great bed and solid construction. Could hear the television from the room next door - grrr - but otherwise quiet. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Definitely would go back.

My daughter and I recently stayed at the Maxwell Hotel during a college visit. With such great reviews on TripAdvisor, we were expecting a lot, and the Maxwell did not disappoint. With free underground parking, wireless internet, DVD player, in-room Keurig coffee maker, and tiny pineapple cupcakes at the front desk, how can you go wrong? We took advantage of the website's "stay for 2 nights, get the 3rd night free" promotion and enjoyed each night of our stay immensely. The hotel does not offer breakfast as they have no restaurant or bar; however, they do have a small coffee "bar" with bagels, muffins, breakfast sandwiches, hot chocolate etc available. Great Seattle coffee and restaurants are just up and across the street. While we were there, it seemed a film company was shooting a commercial or program of some kind in the lobby - it is a popular spot, due to it's beautiful furnishings and lovely decor. The rooms themselves are lovely, with fluffy pillows and comfortable, plush mattresses. A full-length mirror in the room is a nice touch, while an ironing board/iron are handy as well. The bathrooms are luxurious, with walk-in showers (no yukky doors!) and upscale toiletries. The waterfall showerhead does not have "knock you over" pressure, but was more than adequate. Our room on the 4th floor had a wonderful view of the Space Needle as well! Stay here - reject the "free breakfast" of other closeby hotels and luxuriate in the Pineapple's welcoming aura - you will not regret it!

We only spent two nights in Seattle but LOVED every minute at the Maxwell! The little 24 hour "Pineapple Espresso" was awesome for a quick but hot and yummy breakfast. The free parking garage and WiFi were incredible amenities, as was the in-room DVD player and single serve coffee maker! The next stop on our trip took us to a 5 star hotel in another city but we wished we were still at the Maxwell. Would absolutely stay there next time we're in Seattle!

We had to stay over for just one night on business. What a great hotel. The rooms are good sized, the design whimsical with taste and edge and the staff is gracious. It is conveniently located but beware of roadwork in the area which makes it challenging to get to

Upon entering the room my wife spent 10 mins exclaiming how awesome it was ("now that's what I'm talking about.") I went to get a coke and returned with free mini cupcakes from the front desk. My daughters (3 & 5) loved jumping from bed to bed. Good times!

We were amazed that we could get such a great place to stay that was within our moderate price range.

Here is what we were looking for: walk to Seattle Center, pool, free parking, fridge, good for kids.

What really impressed us were the staff. I have to say that I have never stayed anywhere with such helpful staff.

This place is a score. When we told friends what a great deal we were getting, two sets of friends decided to join us. We all thought that it was great.
