“Clean & Comfortable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2010

The Maxwell Hotel was a gem of a find. Located within walking distance of the Space Needle and in a lovely neighborhood, the Maxwell was wonderful. Opened in March 2010 the hotel is poised to meet the needs of the traveler. The front desk personnel were helpful and kind. They recommended several fantastic restaurants close by. The rooms were immaculate and well appointed. We would definitely return to the Maxwell.

We stayed 2 nights at the Maxwell Hotel at the end of a 2 week trip to Washington and Canada. The hotel was very nicely decorated and our room was large and extremely clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the decor and general feel of the hotel, much different than your run of the mill hotels. The front desk staff was friendly and very helpful and accommodating. We would definitely choose the Maxwell Hotel again if we were in the Seattle area.

I came for a few days of fun and a couple days of work. Great location, affordable, clean, new, cupcakes! This hotel tries to be fancier than it is (the furniture seems a bit on the cheap side), but it's a great all-around hotel. It was only open a couple months when we stayed there. So, the customer service was lacking. I blame it on being new. There is FREE PARKING! It's also outside the city center, which is less of a hassle. I would stay here again.

If you would like to stay in a hotel that is not like all the others - stay here. Modern, colorful and fun. The beds were super-comfortable, the rooms were quiet and the staff was very friendly. Right now prices were well below the average for Seattle for that class of hotel. Maybe they are trying to attract clientele. The only hassle is parking - very small spaces, but it is free!

A bit tricky for us to find (because of the 1-way wierdo streets downtown), but once there we were greeted with an easy check-in and mini cupcakes. The room was fabulous! And the bath amenities?- They smell soo goood...I used them throughout my whole stay there! Wierd that our bathroom didn't have a shower door, though it didn't bother us too much, it's just wierd. Free parking is a plus. Location is AWESOME...we were able to walk to the space needle easily..and they have an inexpensive monorail from there to downtown so it's easy to get to Pike's place etc.
