“Great value for Boutique hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2012

Great location, great comfort, great staff, cool style. Best value for location! Some discounts available if going to Teatro Zinzanni, which is across the street and a splurge well worth it. shuttles to areas around town, too, although so much is close by we didn't need it. Check it out!

This was our first stay at this wonderful boutique hotel...loved the retro/art deco vibe! We stayed in one of their Aria rooms on the 5th floor which had a view of the Space Needle. Location can't be beat...quick walk across to Seattle Center, the Space Needle, and Key Arena, as well as a short commute to Pike Place Market.
Staff are super friendly and helpful! We had reserved a room online and arrived in the early afternoon so decided to pop in to check out the hotel, and were pleasantly surprised to be offered a room right away. The front desk clerk also gave us a map of Seattle, as well as directions on how to get to Key Arena.
Amenities are fantastic...free Wi-Fi, secure parking, nice pool and exercise room, complimentary bikes, as well as coffee & cupcakes in the late afternoon. Rooms also have a large umbrella available, a real plus in Seattle!!
The room itself was delightful...loved the hardwood floors, and are extremely clean and well kept. Our king-size bed was amazing...super clean and comfortable, one of the best I've ever slept in!
Can't think of anything that could be improved upon with the possible exception of advising customers upon check-in of which food items in rooms are free and which are not, certainly not a deal breaker!
We will definitely return to Maxwell Hotel on our next trip to Seattle. Great value for your money!

Room Tip: Rooms on the 5th floor are quiet with a great view.

Awesome review! Thank you so very much for taking the time to write this. We are delighted to read how well you enjoyed yourselves while staying at The Maxwell Hotel.

We are glad that you were able to make use of so many of the amenities we offer as well as really get a chance to explore Seattle while you were staying with us.

To know that you would be willing to come back and stay the next time you are in Seattle puts a smile on all of our faces. Fortunately for us, Kamloops is just far enough away that it only makes sense to stay a night when coming to visit Seattle! See you soon. ; )

The room was very nice and the hotel was near to the monorail near the Space Needle which took us quickly downtown. The trip we took on the ducks was fantastic. Staff was very helpful especially with a taxi to a restaurant for dinner.

I stayed here on my fi rest trip to Seattle. I loved the free parking, the decor is great, the bar had a deaf convention in it which was great! In addition, there are at least 5 great restaurants an easy walk away and the space needle is right there too. They had a great glass exhibit next to the needle too. I can't wait to go back!

Nice hotel with free WiFi and parking. Very close to good restaurants near the Space Needle. Can also use the monorail to travel downtown--Westlake Shopping Center. Very clean rooms, quiet and very helpful staff.

One very odd item: the door to my room had about 1/3 inches of space between the frame and the door on the lock side. At night you can clearly see through the narrow space. This phenomenon allowed outside/hallway voices to easily come into the room. The room still seemed secure, but it was a little bit disconcerting.

I liked the area and the hotel's proximity to the businesses downtown. Nice place overall.

Thank you for your review of The Maxwell Hotel. We’re happy to see that you liked our hotel, our location and our amenities.

I am sorry to read about the gap in your entry door causing unnecessary noise and light to enter your room. This is something I want to look into immediately. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. If you wouldn’t mind contacting me with your room number, I’d love to look into this more.

I can be reached at: tsuddith@themaxwellhotel.com.

Thank you again for your review and we look forward to your next visit.

Your friend in hospitality,
Tyler Suddith

My boyfriend and I visited Seattle for a quick weekend trip, and The Maxwell Hotel was perfect. Immediately we were upgraded to a bigger room with an amazing view of the Space Needle. The hotel is in a great location -- walking distance to some fun neighborhoods and all the good tourist spots.

The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and the tropical theme of the hotel is great. They also have a good restaurant/bar downstairs and bikes for rent (though we didn't try them out because it was raining).

I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Maxwell Hotel on 11/15 to attend the RHCP's concert at the Key Arena. We arrived early and received an upgrade at no extra charge. The hotel is wonderfully decorated and staff extremely friendly. It was conveniently located within walking distance to many restaurants and Seattle Center. Missed out on the pineapple cupcakes-so sad. We would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for your review of The Maxwell Hotel. From what we’ve heard, the RHCP show was great. Several of our guests enjoyed our proximity to Key Arena for this show. Hopefully you enjoyed the show as well.

We’re sorry to read that you missed out on cup cakes. However, if you are EVER in our area again, stop in and we will be sure to send you home with a couple.

Thanks again, and we look forward to your next stay with us.

Warm regards,
Tyler
