“You have to try the Baked Oysters”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

Like everybody has said, all the appetizers are great. The best baked oysters that we have ever had. Even our son who does not like oysters thought they were great.
Only thing wrong was the main dishes did not sound as interesting as the appetizers. We went with all appetizers so I will have to leave it to others to comment on the main dishes.

“Nothing bad. Lots to Like.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2012

My wife and I had dinner here after spending a couple of hours at the nearby King Tut exhibit. The food was well prepared, attractive and flavorful. Service wasn't bad, but could have been more responsive. The wine list is well rounded; it favors Washington and Oregon wines, as you might expect. Prices are reasonable. The room is pleasant, even inviting; tables are well spaced.

I stuck to small plates: a smelt special, a pasta appetizer, a side dish of spicy, garlicky greens, and a flour-less chocolate cake. All were very good, with the pasta the clear winner. What might have been a boring noodles in cream sauce dish was enlivened by the judicious addition of sage butter and the flavor of toasted hazelnuts.

My wife had the smelt and an entree of gnocchi with squash, vegetables, and mushrooms. She was very happy with it, as she was with the ricotta cheese cake desert.

This restaurant probably deserves 4 and one-half stars. With somewhat better service and a little more inspiration in the menu, it would rate 5 stars. We wouldn't hesitate to return.

“Tasty Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2012

We dined here upon the recommendation of a co-worker. It's a warm and cosy place with excellent food. I highly recommend the pasta of the day as an appetizer. It was out-of-this world. We also shared the mussels which were the appetizer special. Two couples split the arugula salad and the beet salad. We all preferred the arugula salad--it had a blue cheese cream base and it was yummy! Two of our four ordered the wild black cod, one ordered the roasted chicken, and the other ordered the ribs. None of us left one morsel on our plates. The food was so good I can't wait to go back. For dessert we shared some Snickerdoodle encrusted apple deliciousness. Our server was attentive and helpful. It was a great evening! Head's up, we drove by it once and didn't see where it was. Parking on the street. We went on a Sunday night and it wasn't too crowded which made it nice for chatting.

“Different and delicious!”

My favorite lunch spot in Belltown. All their choices are creative, fresh, and flavorful. Great home made soups and the egg dishes are marvelous.
