“Quiet in the heart of the city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

The park features quiet among old-growth evergreen trees, a beach on Puget Sound, a nineteenth-century lighthouse and buildings from Fort Lawton, an old Army post. Serene and scenic.

“Wonderful Walking & Great Views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2012

Located in the Magnolia area of Seattle, this park is an oasis of delight. Often you have the trails to yourself, and none of them is hard to navigate. We have been to this park several time, and we will go back the next time we are in Seattle.

“Kid Friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2012

Our grandchildren had a blast there for an entire sunny day. We watched and they played. They used part of the warm day to play, along with others, in the fountain which pulsates, turns off and then gushes.

“Great Place to spend a morning or afternoon.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2012

You need to give yourself some time to walk around this park and take in the old Worlds Fair pavilions as well as the Space Needle and the Chihuly Garden. There are many great spots to photograph.

“Great for a picnic, a walk or a day at the beach.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2012

Discovery Park is just one more example of Seattles natural beauties.
This 534 acre park has something for everyone.
There are sand dunes, bluffs, woods, meadows, views of the Puget Sound and nature trails.
Take a picnic or just go for a walk.
