Located in the immense Volunteer Park at 1400 E. Galer Street
The 45 acre area was designated as a park in 1878, and called City Park. It was later changed to Volunteer Park to honor those who fought in the Spanish-American War.
The conservatory opened in 1912, and includes five houses: Bromeliad, Palm, Fern, Cactus and the Seasonal Display. The houses are all connected and you can easily see the over-sized greenhouse in about an hour.
