“Great Location, Comfortable Hotel for Both Families and Business Travelers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

I stayed at this hotel with my family during a vacation trip to Seattle. One of the draws for me was the location of this hotel. It is north of downtown and within walking distance of the Seattle Center (home to the Space Needle, Science Center, and Monorail Station, among other things). The hotel is also a 5 minute walk from a beautiful waterfront park that runs along Puget Sound. It is located in a nice neighborhood with a grocery store and restaurants nearby. Loved the location.

We found the rooms to be very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was great as well. They had some hot food every day (bacon, eggs, and hash browns for example), as well as a large selection of cold breakfast items (muffins/scones, cereal, yogurt, fruit). You would not go hungry here. The staff was friendly and helpful for the most part.

I only have two minor complaints. First, one day we were gone from the hotel from 9 to 2:30 and when we returned, housekeeping had not done our room. We were tired and ended up getting an abbreviated service of towels and trash removal. The next day, we were going to be gone during the same times and we specifically requested that our room be done during this time. This request was not honored and once again returned to an unserviced room. The second minor issue is the lack of a pool and hot tub on the property. When traveling with my kids, they do enjoy unwinding at the pool and that was not an option here.

Overall it is a very nice property that would serve the needs of families and business travelers as well.

Stayed here for a few days after a cruise in June 2014. We chose it due to the location. It is only one mile from cruise terminal 91, and Pike Place Market. And it is only about 1.5 miles from a group of restaurants along Alaskan Way. I did not see much except for a small deli/ convenience type store in the immediate area. It has non food businesses, condos and apartments around it mostly. We checked in late at night around 11pm and the woman at the desk almost appeared to have just woken up; she had a plain gray sweatshirt on- no standard uniform or dress code whatsoever and her hair a mess... Ok fine not a big deal, we just wanted to go to sleep. All the other staff members at the desk were always upbeat. The buffet breakfast is helpful if you are in need of something quick; it was pretty standard American breakfast fare. The orange juice did not taste like orange juice however. :( Our suite was comfortable and very spacious. The bed was so comfy. My husband is a Hilton Honors member and without even requesting it they gave us one of the larger suites on the 5th floor :) That was nice! It was next to the elevator, but the bed in the room is not near it at all so no trouble with elevator noise. There are some first floor suites that are very close to the lobby (as in practically in the lobby) and next to the first floor restroom. Not a great location if you get one of those rooms! At night I did hear other people in the hallway and also heard someone's TV on. But with super soft sheets on that bed I fell asleep anyway, yay!

I am unable to find any thing but good things to say about this motel. All the staff from the desk to the maids were all so courteous and helpful .They treated me as if we had known each other for years. Directions to any location were followed with a map. Reviews of outside dining accompanied directions. Dining at the motel was pretty fair also. Furnishings were very comfortable. Parking was great, very easy access.

Room Tip: Upper floors have the best views.

Booked the Homewood Suites on Western Ave to spend the night after an Alaskan cruise ( here now on June 27th). Very friendly and helpful staff, comfortable clean and spacious room with pretty bay view, and easy walk to the space needle. Very pleased!!

Excellent choice before getting on our cruise. They have a $7 shuttle to the ship and breakfast is included. It's within 4 blocks of many food choices and another few blocks to Pikes and the needle. The rooms have kitchens and living rooms with TVs in LR and bedroom. Great location to everything we needed.

Although the rooms were pricey, they were nice and well kept. Nothing fancy but very adequate with good layout of room. We had a complete kitchen, well supplied, even though we didn't use it. The fridge even had a working icemaker and there were plates, glasses, flatware, etc. if you need them. Lots of towels in the bathroom, which was in very good condition. The halls were freshly carpeted. The cleaning staff was very friendly and helpful. The front desk staff was exceptional - calling taxis and shuttles for us. Even getting a shuttle when the Yellow cab they had called did not show up in a timely manner. It is an easy walk to the Space Needle and Pacific Park. Also only a block to the walking bridge which gets you to the waterfront path. It leads directly to the waterfront downtown and makes it a fairly easy walk to Pike's Market as well. My only complaint is that the area is really lacking in restaurants and we had to take a cab downtown to find a good selection of restaurants. A taxi to Pike's Place Market is about $7.50. The hotel serves a very nice hot/cold complete breakfast in the morning. There is free wine and beer in the late afternoons (Mon.-Thur.) There is also a nice dinner served in the evening (Mon. - Thur.) Although the food is nothing fabulous, it was nice to have a hot supper available for us on Thur. as we arrived late in the afternoon and after a full day of travel, we didn't have to leave the hotel that night. The dining room is well appointed, large and light, a very friendly and helpful staff and has nice large tables and chairs that accommodated our whole family of seven. It is also a short taxi ride to Pier 91 where our Princess cruise ship was docked.

Room Tip: The rooms on floors 5 and 6 have great views of the harbor. There is some street noise, but even th...

I chose this because I had stayed here once many years ago and thought it was a decent hotel in a good location. Also, I needed a suite for multiple travelers. My room was a complete dud. Beds are adequate, but not up to Hilton standards. The suite layout is awful. The "living room" side had a woefully outdated sofa that was so uncomfortable, it provided quite the laughter. Not to mention, that side is a complete cave as there are no windows. At all. Not even the token ones that Embassy has to just let in a little light. I stay at Hiltons often but this one is 100% off my list for Seattle.

Thank you for the review of your recent stay at our hotel. I apologize that we were unable to accommodate you with a room that met your satisfaction. We strive to accommodate all of our guests, and I’m sorry you were disappointed with your bed and guest room layout. We are currently planning our renovation for next year to give our hotel an update. I do hope that the next time you travel to the area you will consider staying with us again so we can show you a more comforting stay.

Thank you again,

Dawn
