3 things i look for when booking a 1 or 2 star room
1) Safe area yes three OLD ladies all agreed it was safe no fears
2) Clean yes again
3) staff friendly and accoumadating Very and believe you me was not easy as 2 of the ladies(?)
were squabling most of the time
4)1 continued complaint from 1 was the Courtesy Breakfast wasn't "varied enough" 2 others agreed it was what was advertised...coffee,fruit,hot or cold cereal, fruit juice lots of little donuts. It is not billed a full breakfast!
5) LOVED the bath tub just so large takes a while to fill up!!! what a complaint

Smoke smell 1 over sensitive person said she opened her window and smoke came in. Close your window!!!! gues who was 1 of the ladies squabling? yep me

Wanting to spend our anniversary a few hours away from home, we got reservations at the Travelodge on Aurora. The handicap room had a nicely equipped bathroom with handrails in the tub and a safety rail attached to the toilet, plus a bonus shower bench that we don't normally find in high class hotels, let alone motels.

The sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable with a firm mattress. Per the usual for almost all motels and hotels, the bedding was sparse and the pillows were thin, but I have yet to stay at a place where it isn't. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast had limited hot items but was well stocked in quantity if not choice. The price was great, the location was perfect for our needs, I would stay here again.

However, if loud noises bother you, this motel is on a major bus route with a bus stop a few feet away and the buses run all night, so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.

We were visiting our son in Shoreline and decided to stay here. This is not in the better area of Seattle for a start. The hotel is old and need of updating. The queen size bed was hard and the room was spartan. You will be given one towel, washcloth and hand towel each. The front desk personnel were not exactly friendly and could care less about whether you stay or not. The good news about this place is that there is a Jack in the Box right next door if you like that sort of place. Other than that count on driving somewhere for food and drink. We are leaving to tour parts of eashern Washington and will not be returning to this hotel. I recommend you avoid this place and find something in a better area.

Stayed here for 3 nights in mid June.

Paid a very fair price, about $50 per night. Room was clean, relatively quiet, and bed was adequate. Came with a free continental breakfast, and the lady that was working in the office was quite helpful and friendly. Location has it's pros and cons, it is close to Green Lake which is an area I like, but area around the hotel itself isn't the prettiest to look at. I-5 is relatively easy to get to though.

It's a budget motel, so keep that in mind, but I'd have no problem staying here again.

We checked in on a Saturday and thought the room was awesome; big and spacious. IT was in an awesome location; far enough from the city to miss the crazy traffic, yet close enough for a 10 minute drive to the zoo and Pike Market! The lady at the front desk was wonderful and very helpful. That seemed to be the end of our good luck with this hotel. Our tv wasn't working properly and the girl told me she had no idea what to do... she wasn't the manager and said we'd have to wait until the next day when the manager was here. We quickly had to re-program the remote to work on the early 1990 tv. If someone didn't have the smarts or ability to think about reprograming the tv remote, they probably would have just stayed without any ability to watch tv. And, it's just basic cable.
The first night in any hotel is always tricky; you're not in your own bed and sometimes backs can hurt a little after sleeping in a strange bed. But the bed in our room (1 queen) was, by far, the worst bed my husband and I have slept in. Every move we made woke each other up and the bed squeaked. We were picking up our son from the airport so we stayed another night to enjoy the sights around Seattle. However, it's 8:00 in the morning and we have to cancel our plans for the day and check out since both of us are in udder pain from the bed... every inch of our bodies hurt... necks, back, legs..just unbelievable. The pillows are thin and "lifeless". Worst bed ever!!!!
And that's not the end of it. We are both "bigger" people...both over 6'1" and I had requested more towels....a simple request a hotel should be able to accommodate. The head house-keeper, barely able to speak English, told me I couldn't have any extra towels because we're only allowed 2 per room. I argued with her for a couple minutes and she finally told be because I was a large person, she'd give me some.
Also, after getting only a few hours of sleep due to the uncomfortableness of the bed, a large garbage truck came and picked up the dumpster at 5:30 in the morning!!!!
Our little 5 year old was so excited to see the zoo and aquarium and do all the fun tourist-stuff, but we aren't staying here any longer.... we are hitting the road to go back home. And yeah, if we had the money, we'd try to find another hotel, but the money isn't worth the possibility of waking up with this pain in our bodies again.

We have stayed here twice. The hotel is older but it is clean and maintained.
The staff was very nice, took care of us and answered all our questions.
Nice free breakfast..

Another posting mentioned needing Picture ID for each guest. For your security.
Their software does not handle two names on the room so to make sure that if you have to come and ask for a key they have positive ID that they are giving it to the person staying in that room.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a Jacuzzi tub.

We stayed two nites at this motel. I have read previous reviews so was a little apprehensive about booking here but decided to take a chance. We are glad we did!!! We had a last minute change of plans and also a special request. Both items were addressed and taken care of by cheery and professional staff. They were very helpful with dining information and while there my glasses broke and they tried to find a small enough screwdriver to fix them but didn't have one so they directed us to a nearby business that could help. I had read the reviews of the person named "Michelle" that worked as a manager and we delt with her often. She was always polite, informative and very helpful as was the rest of the staff. The Motel was an older property but very well maintained and clean and a bonus was the jaquizzi tub in our room. It was truly a delight to stay there and would definetly stay here again!!!!!
