My husband and I decided to celebrate our milestone Birthdays (60 something years old each) by treating ourselves to a relaxing vacation. We started our vacation with a two day Amtrak ride from Los Angeles to Seattle in a Sleeper car Bedroom. We loved the refurbished Sleeper car - complete with private water closet and shower. Yep, we do not like to share bathroom facilities, so this was perfect for us! The scenery along the coast from Los Angeles to Seattle is Beautiful and soooooo relaxing. We arrived in Seattle and was picked up by the Four Seasons courtesy town car - NICE!
We were showered with Four Seasons luxury starting with the Car Service pickup and through-out our stay. The Chauffeur escorted us to the front Desk and introduced us to the Front Desk Staff. We were provided with a brief overview of the hotel services included in our reservation package and upon arrival to our room we found a pleasant surprise – a Birthday cake was all decked out and it was delicious! The room was immaculate. The highlights included a TV imbedded in the Bathroom mirror, a large two headed shower, a soaking tub, a separate water closet and the corner bedroom had wonderful views of the Puget Sound and Elliot Bay. We had our breakfast & dinners in the hotel restaurant – food was great. This is my First of Many stays at a Four Season’s Hotel. I believe I’ve been spoiled! SMILE The first morning I came downstairs to the lobby and just relaxed with a cup of coffee and the local newspaper while sitting by the lobby fireplace.
The location of this hotel is next-door to the Public Market which includes Pikes fish market and the original Starbucks. Although the hotel Town-car is available on a first come basis to the hotel’s guest, my husband and I decided to take the short walk to the Space Needle, the glass gardens, the mall & along the boardwalk/pier. We stayed three nights at the Four Seasons Seattle and then boarded the Amtrak for our return trip home. Our relaxing vacations continue for the next two days while in route to Los Angeles. I do believe there are several more vacations in our future via Amtrak with stays in the Four Seasons Hotel family. I highly recommend the Four Seasons Seattle. It’s a bit pricey but YOLO (you only live once)!!
