“Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2011

This was our second stay in a suite at the Alexis. The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Seattle not far from the Pike Place Market or any other tourist destination for that matter. Our room was comfortable, well equipped and had a lovely 2-person, step up Jacuzzi tub. They have fabulously scented premier bath and shower products.

The staff was friendly, helpful and advised us once we checked in of the free wine hour and morning coffee.

Parking was your typical hotel price, but then the city and the state added taxes to the taxes. I could have had a nice meal by the time I paid to park my car for one night.

Room Tip: I'd recommend the King suite

This hotel is wonderful! We stayed for 3 nights the end of August and again on September 3, 2011. This is definitely a five star. The rooms are very well appointed. If you find you need something all you need to do is ask and the service is outstanding. The consignier, Russell, is so professional, helpful and accomodating. Wine and chocolates for our anniversary - can't ask for anything more.

Great hotel & good location. Love the bar either next door or part of the hotel.

Hotel is perfectly located on 1st Ave, convenient to Pike Market, Pioneer square and a light rail station. The room I stayed in was small, but was fine for me traveling solo. No view, other than the building next to me and the street. The hotel was quiet and the staff was pleasant enough, I had to ask for a map that the couple in front of me were offered. Nice touches like free happy hour with wine every afternoon. Overall a very pleasant stay, in a unique hotel. Note: the doors to the rooms are very heavy!

No hotel will make you feel at home like the Kimpton hotels. We walked in the fancy lobby, dirty and grubby from a fun day outdoors. We had 2 dishelved small kids who are kind of loud. All the staff greeted us with big smiles and warm welcomes. They made us feel like we were the only people staying at the hotel. An employee recognized us from another Kimpton we stayed at and sent us up some local IPA beer knowing we like to try different brewaries.

We've never been disappointed with Kimpton's hotels. We loved the modern feel to the furnishings in the room. We also loved its proximity to the Pike Place Market and Le Panier French Bakery (especially it's Pain Chocolat)!

Thank you so much for posting your review on Trip Advisor! We are also big fans of some of the local bakeries and shops within walking distance of the hotel. Have you tried Cinnamon Works in the Market? Yummmm...and they even have a great selection of vegan and gluten free snacks.
