“Still talking about this tour a year later”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

My fiancé and I went on this tour over a long weekend in Seattle. We actually chose this tour on a whim, as another tour company we had scheduled with in the area had cancelled on us last minute. The representatives were more than happy to fit us in the day of (which may have been an exception since it was during the week) and we couldn't be more happy with our decision.

We were relatively inexperienced wine drinkers, but felt very comfortable. Our driver was very professional and knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions honestly, and even took us to some of his favorite wineries in the area. In talking about our experience with Bon Vivant Wine Tours, we feel the tour was well worth the cost and if we ever find ourselves in Seattle again we would definitely go a second time. We still enjoy drinking the wine we purchased on the tour, and continue to purchase wines from the wineries our driver took us to even though we live in the Midwest.

"Still Talking about this tour a year..."

Wow! We are delighted you are still enjoying your memories of your Bon Vivant Wine Tour a year later. And, even more delighted you took the time to write a second review. Wow! again.
Enjoying and purchasing wine from the wineries we visited is great to hear. We do hope when you are back out in the Pacific Northwest you will give us a call and we can introduce you to other wonderful wineries here in Woodinville Wine Country.
Cheers, Michael

"Exceeded all my expectations"

What a wonderful review, thank you. We try to share the passion our Washington wine makers have for their love of wine making. The experience, the knowledge and the desire to accommodate our guests is what makes our Bon Vivant Wine Tours so popular. We hope all of our guests truly feel the "Passion" our wine makers have for making great wines. Cheers,
Michael

“Fun and informative wine tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

This tour is for you if you want to learn all about the local wineries and tasting rooms. We  had a great experience from the very first phone call.  We booked a group tour but were pleasantly surprised that we ended up with just my husband, myself and our guide Michael.  We had our own private tour!  We were picked up right at our downtown hotel and  driven to Woodinville in a mini coach bus, Michael  was extremely knowledgeable about wines and explained the history of the Washington state wines and wineries and the sights along our route and throughout the day.  Our first stop  was Chateau St. Michele, where we had a tour and tasting.   Lunch was at the Purple Restaurant, where Michael found out more about our wine tastes and preferences.  After lunch we toured 4 other smaller wineries that seemed geared to our wine tastes and preferences.  We were then returned back to our hotel.  My husband left his wallet in the van and we didn't discover it was missing until about 15 minutes after Michael dropped us back at our hotel, I thought we would have to connect with him the following day but Michael went out of his way to return it right away.    We would highly recommend this tour.

“Do Not Miss This Tour, You Will Not Regret It”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2012

We looked into two other tour companies prior to leaving for Seattle and decided on Bon Vivant based on reviews in the Trip Advisor website. We have to say that we second and third previous reviewers opinions. Not only was this a professional, accommodating and informative tour organized and conducted by Michael, but with much enthusiasm during the long day. The highlights for us were the Chateau Ste. Michelle facility and Obelisco Winery. Both produce some very nice reds The individual (a scientist he told us) gave a comprehensive yet enjoyable tour of the winery. In additon staff at this winery (in the tasting area and again in sales) were top notch. Obelisco put together a good presentation of their style of wines. Another plus was meeting with Doug Long and hearing his philosophy of winemaking.

“Best Wine Tour Out There”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

First let me say that we are experienced wine tour participants and have done quite a few of these types of tours throughout the US and Europe and honestly we enjoyed Bon Vivant and Don more than any of the others we have been on. This was a spur of the moment decision my husband had for my birthday and I have to say, it was one of the best birthdays I have had yet. Michael with Bon Vivant made it easy to make the reservation and allowed us the choose where we would like to be picked up. He asked us what type of wine we enjoyed and asked if we had any specific wineries that we wanted to visit. We were picked up right outside the restaurant in Seattle that we wanted to return to later after our tour which made it easy.

There were a total of 8 of us on the tour, we were four 50 somethings along with four 20 somethings and we all got along great. After a tour and tasting at Ste. Michelle Winery, we stopped at Purple in Woodinville for lunch. As usual the food was excellent (this is not covered in the tour fee). We then proceeded to five boutique wineries, with one right across from Purple and the other four in the winery warehouse area. We loved them all. We bought a few bottles along the way and even joined one of the wine clubs. What sets Bon Vivant apart is that we all felt Don was just one of us. He had a great rapport with the winery owners and was able to give us any information and answer any questions we had. He has a pleasant personality and made us all feel very comfortable and welcome. I would highly recommend this tour whether you are visiting the Seattle/Bellevue area or are a native Washingtonian! As a side note - the price was definitely on the low end for this service. We liked the fact that we were able to choose our own lunch - especially at such a great restaurant.
