Great food and great service. Price was pretty decent too. Thanks Triple D!
Caught the triple D episode with Pam's listed and had to check it out. I decided to catch a lunch. Fairly easy parking within a block. Hours are limited. Best to get to lunch early as there are limited portions available. I was too late for the jerk chicken but was very happy with the Chicken Roti I ordered. I had never had chick peas before but the experience was awesome. Very spicy and flavorful.
Had the chance to talk with Pam and enjoyed the visit. I have to go back for a dinner service.
We have eaten at Pam’s quite a few times and keep going back.
It is an eat house in the U-District frequented by students and a few others coming for the Caribbean food. If you are looking for fine dining on white table cloths, this is not your place. But if you have lived or traveled in the Caribbean and fallen in love with the food, this is THE place when in Seattle.
Mis Pam's Roti is The Real Thing, without qualification. We have driven long distance through heavy traffic for rotis at Pam’s - and will again. We prefer the chicken roti but that is personal taste. Go for the Dalpuri wrap. It is super.
We had seen this place on a food show and immediately put it on our list to try when we go to Seattle (as we do at least once a year). We were not disappointed.
We were there for lunch, which is a limited menu, but we still really enjoyed out food. I had the garbanzo and potato roti and my husband had one with chicken. From the first bite we both said it was easily the best roti we had ever had. The servings are huge and a great value.
We would definitely go back again.
We were lucky to be there on one of the two days Pam's is open for lunch (Friday and Saturday) so not only did we get to experience their delicious Roti - but were also lucky enough to try two of their lunch sandwiches. Both the tilapia and jerk chicken sandwiches, served on fresh coconut fry bread, were excellent. Can't wait to go back - I am already craving more. Not too spicy - just right.
Be prepared to wait a little while- it's a small place and the tables fill up fast.
