“What a great experience when visiting!”

When you are in Seattle, you've got to go to this place! Love the fresh seafood there on display. Vendors have such a variety of things for sale. From art to novelty.

“Must see in Seattle”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013 via mobile

No trip to Seattle is complete without visiting Pike Place Market. Lots of great shops and purveyors.

Look out for flying fish!! :-) There was a group of school kids laughing, oohing and ahhing at the skill of the fish mongers flinging fresh fish amongst each other. Fun!

“An afternoon of fun!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

The Public Market at Pikes Place is a must to see when in Seattle. It is an open air market with dozens of shops and restaurants. Vendors are in fixed stores and stalls that are set up and broken down daily. You have everything from souvenirs, to collectibles to crafts. It is open until 6 PM, so don't expect to go at night. A few fish markets, the most famous is the Famous Pike Place Fish Market where fish are tossed across that counter and "flying to Chicago", Omaha, etc. The team working there truly has fun. You can eat and drink yourself through the place.

“Great market!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

Pike place defineletly worth a visit while visiting Seattle! the atmosphere is pretty unique, and the type of shops and stalls are so various!
The wall of gums was one of the most random thigs I have ever seen! But it was amusing!
Great selection of food and souvenirs shops too!
Great place to hang out for a few hours!

“Best place to catch fish!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

I have always heard of the Fish Market so I had to see it for myself. From the Space Needle you can catch the Monorail for $3.50 round trip to the market and back. There is a 5 block walk from the monorail to the market but it is an easy walk. The market was the neatest swap meet type environment I have ever seen. The vendors selling their items and selling their food items were very professional about how they interact with you as you travel through the market. I didnt feel like I was being hussled at all. I will be brining my family back to visit. Very cool!
