We walked out of our hotel to explore Belltown's restaurant choices on Second. The weather was damp, breezy & a bit chilly (read: Seattle in March). We made it about a block before The Local Vine appeared before us. And beckoned us in. Who could resist?
A cool ambience with an amazing retro, mid-Century ski-lodgish fireplace (very James Bond circa mid-60s) and various seating arrangements from high tables w/stools to long cushioned benches w/small tables for larger groups to fireside seating to enjoy the warmth solo.
Wine list ran the gamut, and we were clapping ourselves on the backs for not resisting the urge to duck in. Small plates of appetizers caught our eye, and we went for some yummy cheese to go with the complimentary olives.
The service was impeccable. I'm glad I don't live there, b/c I wouldn't need much to stop in at every opportunity. Too tempting! :p
