I stayed at the Roosevelt when I flew up to interview for a job. The staff was friendly and eager to help me in a foreign city. They also offered bag storage for FREE the next day as I explored before my return flight. You can't beat the location either! It's close to public transport and walking distance from pretty much everything. They're across from Barnes&Noble and right next to a great happy hour spot (Tap House Grill). The room service was WAY too expensive, but with all the great restaurants in Seattle, who needs room service? The bed was extremely comfortable with big fluffy pillows and a soft comforter. Everything was clean and just wonderful. Did I mention the free Wi-Fi?

We had a wonderful experince at this hotel, until we went to leave. We did have a very bad experince with the vallet service as we left, but given the rest of our stay I will hope this was a one time thing.

The hotel is within waling distance from everything.

I had read in a previous review about a door that did not close properly. We had that same room. Apparently this is the hotwire or low price room. I have only two complaints about the hotel. First, this room (1109?) has one double bed, which is a little small for two people. If you have made an internet reservation, I recommend checking at the desk and find out the bed size right away, in case you want a change. Second, there were some room service leftovers at the elevator when we checked in, which stayed there for at least 5 hours. The next morning, there were still a few French fries lurking around on the floor. This was unappealing and it seemed that no one was checking to make sure that things are done properly. Other than that, our room was clean and comfortable, staff were helpful, there was enough light to read, room was quiet, etc.

My company books me here, otherwise I'd NEVER step in the door again. What is that smell ? (and why do they feel room deodorizer will 'cover' it up - I had to take the battery out of the dispenser to stop from gagging). Each time I check in I am assigned a TINY room facing a cinder block wall (AVOID ROOMS BELOW THE 10TH FLOOR). It wouldn't be as bad IF the room was fresh and clean. The sheets were old and stained and 'pilled',the pillows lumpy, and don't look in the corners (and why was my mattress zipped into a plastic cover?) ! As a 6'3" man, my feet hung over the end of the bed...is it possible they use smaller furniture to make these rooms look larger/normal.
On a positive note, the location is central (IF you're OK with all the panhandlers every time you walk out the door).
I'm copying this to our Co. travel manager, I'd like to see the rooms they showed her on the site inspection (or better, stay in one of those rooms).

Room Tip: Rooms on Pine St can be noisy, AVOID rooms in the back below the 10th floor - faces a parking garage...

Room was very large and very clean. We were surprised just how quite the room was with facing Pine Street. We heard nothing from adjacent rooms or from the street. Unfortunately, the bed was not that comfortable and all lights had flourescent bulbs in them, so lighting was not adequate. Water pressure in the shower was very low and no fan. Overall, it was a nice stay, but not a great stay.

Just returned from a lovely stay at the Roosevelt in Seattle. Everyone we encountered was smiling and helpful. They obviously love the hospitality industry. Valet smooth and easy. Bell boy fast and friendly. Front dest staff all smiles and ready for us. Our rooms King Suites were on the same floor and each different but both cozy. Great to have an empty fridge to use. The Roosevelt is close to everything from shops and all big dept stores, restaurants, Pike Street Market is a fun 6 block walk.
What I loved most was the cozy Xmassy lobby all gussied up. Sit in front of the fire to have a coffee and people watch while waiting for your party was perfect.
I do not think you can beat this hotel to be in city centre and just be able to park your car and have a nice downtown holiday.
The rooms were spacious, nice beds and furntiure. The bathroom was small but that was fine wih us since we were out and about enjoying the bustling town.

Room Tip: Both rooms I saw were lovely and different. Cozy in there own ways. Corners offered more views ob...

The staff are amazing, very personable. The elevator requires a keycard to operate. The room is reasonably spacious for the location which is perfectly close to everything. It’s half a block from The Cheesecake Factory, across the street from Barnes & Noble, and just a few blocks from The Hard Rock Cafe, the market, and Westlake. It's an older property which means it has character and charm but also slight issues like old tiling in the bathroom and a loud air conditioning system. The shower stall is very small, it worked fine for me but anyone with curves might have issues. Overall this is a great hotel; I would stay again but only when traveling alone.
