“Great location but tight on space!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed today NEW via mobile

Hotel Max is located in the perfect spot, within walking distance from some very large corporate entities. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and I highly recommend Miller's Guild next door.

The hotel is very tight on space but makes up for it with some cool features. Every night in the lobby they serve free local craft beer. You can grab a seat, catch up on email and socialize a bit. The gym on the second floor is decent. There are a handful of treadmills, yoga mats, medicine balls and Dumbbells up to 50lbs. Elevators are secured (card required to go up), which keeps out unwanted loafers.

The guest rooms are really small but nicely appointed with all of the accessories including hairdryer, iron, alarm clock, tv, and plenty of power outlets. My room did not have a thermostat, so I had to toggle the window unit between hot and cold to find the right balance. It was loud, but Hotel max provides earplugs and that helped to drown out the noise from the AC.

The shower stall was comically small and I wouldn't recommend a standard room for anybody bigger than me (6' 190lbs). Anybody larger than that will have serious difficulty taking a shower.

Room was in good condition and clean. Only problem was that the electrical outlet in the bathroom didn't work.

Overall I thought Hotel Max is a very good deal at $149, surrounded by some much more expensive hotels in the same neighborhood. I would return.

The staff was excellent and the hotel is clean and nicely appointed. If you're on your own or a couple it's a great location and it would likely be a pleasant experience.
However, the rooms and bathrooms are very small and we found it was challenging to accommodate all of the trappings of a family trip with pets. The bathroom in particular was probably no more than 12 sq feet plus a 3x3 shower off of that. If you don't plan to do a lot of grooming it can work, but if you plan on spending a lot of time on hair and makeup, this probably isn't the best choice.

Great hotel! The rooms are pretty small and the shower and bathroom are separate which is good. I did not experience a lot of noise as most people said. The staff was very helpful & the free beer was delicious! Room service was quick and the food was great quality. I highly recommend it. I just wish housekeeping would have been a bit more helpful. I did not get new towels or changed sheets after i requested it both nights. Then they told me i left the wrong side up, which each day i left different signs. One of them should've worked.

Hotel Max always excels. The members of their staff are genuinely friendly and nice and it comes through. The location is superb, the hotel is comfortable, clean and welcoming. I have been staying only there for the last couple of years because of the people.

Our stay at the Max was great. The property was clean and having secure elevators added a level of safety. Staff was wonderful and very helpful. My only issue was the shower size. Anyone over 100lb would have trouble maneuvering in there. Way too small. Not sure if other room types are different, but the mini queen suite was exactly as the name suggests.
