PRO: Great location. Cute mico-room. Pretty friendly staff. Pretty decent room cost.

CON: Very loud hotel. My room was on the backside of the building. Street noise heard all night long. I have stayed in other hotels downtown so I know this is kind of a common problem and live in a major city so I know what I am getting into... but I think it was a parking garage enter/exit buzzer warning going off all the time. Not the general bus and car traffic downtown that is more easy to ignore. It drove me nuts.

I could also hear my neighbors talking through the walls.

Elevator smelled like puke in the morning... although I didn't see anything.

The hotel was so easy to find - just off the I5. We didn't know what to expect. The hotel room was very compact, but we were only there for the weekend, so it was great. Superb location - one block off the main downtown street. Hotel restaurant was delicious - a little pricey, but good. The rooms were clean. We would stay again for sure.

Room Tip: We were on the 7th floor and faced another building - but the hotel is in the midst of many buildlin...

Just an all round pleasant and perfect stay. The staff, the rooms and the restaurant on site were brilliant.
A 2 night stay at the end of January 2015 to celebrate an anniversary was made perfect by them booking a package which included parking. A bottle of Prosecco was chilled waiting for our arrival in the room.
The rooms are on the small side but for 2 people, using the room as a central base to downtown Seattle, it is perfect. It has the bits and pieces you require.
This is the 2nd time we stayed and we will stay again.
The Hotel Max and their staff do hospitality well. Friendly, polite and helpful. 5 star
Thank You

I've stayed at the Hotel Max many times. I like the convenient location, and the general quiet and privacy there. This time unfortunately I didn't book the room directly and sadly was given a room next to an elevator. My sleep was constantly interrupted by the elevator noise and vibration coming through the wall. I will go back to direct booking with the hotel hereafter. There was no noise from other patrons.

There was a confusing doorknob hanger, and I apparently requested no service, which is what I got. They could clarify the choices a bit more.

Room Tip: Request rooms away from elevators. Higher floors are better because of traffic noise.

The hotel is easy to get to and within walking distance of most of the things you will want to do downtown. The staff is friendly, informative and low key. The room we had was a bit small but there are larger rooms available.

The Hotel Max is awesome! We have stayed twice and it has been excellent. The rooms on the Sub-pop floor have fun record players and records you can choose from (yay Beachhouse!). The 9th floor has images of Paris on the doors... Great artwork and furniture is everywhere. Bed was very comfy, free coffee in-room and in the lobby if you don't want to fuss... A major bonus is free wifi plus I liked the lovely eco-friendly bath amenities. Service is polite, thoughtful, attentive and genuine, unlike what you often get at large chains. The team makes sure you are taken care of. Plus fun things like free beer in the lobby from 5:30-6:30 make the place turn into a cool bar. Excellent location and surprisingly quiet too. Will definitely come back. Thanks Hotel Max!
