“Great location, super friendly staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

My family and I (husband two kids, 7 and 5 years old) made our first trip to Seattle and choose this hotel based on the great reviews. It did not disappoint. The hotel staff was so friendly we felt like we were coming home to family after long days out sightseeing. Our first night we stayed in a queen queen room which was nice, but a bit too small for a family of four. We were able to move into a queen queen deluxe for the next two nights which had a lounge area with sofa and coffee table which made it perfect for the kids to have somewhere to hang out and much to our surprise, the hotel left us a great bottle of wine and chocolates to enjoy in our new room.
The location was great and we walked or took public transport everywhere and spent a bit of every day at Pike Market enjoying the food and scenery.
The end of our trip was spent uptown at the Grand Hyatt which although it was a much newer and fancier hotel, was not nearly as friendly and authentic to the area. We will definitely stay at the Vintage Park again when we visit Seattle.

Room Tip: for a family, go with the queen queen deluxe

We have stayed at this hotel twice in the past year. We came to enjoy the city and this was the perfect location for us. We left our car with the valet and set out on foot or cab. Everthing we needed was close by or a short cab ride. We were warmly welcomed and upgraded when we arrived. On one occasion, it was our 40th Anniversary and were were greeted by a bottle of wine in our room. The room was well appointed & clean. The afternoon wine receptions are a special treat. An added bonus was their restaurant, Tulios. The food was fabulous and the service equally so. Our special requests and inquires were happily fufilled. We highly recommend this hotel.

The VP is probably the best Kimpton if you are in Seattle to do business in the financial district or at the courthouse (which is right next door). Excellent access to the freeway, and superb off street valet parking. For those complaining about the price of said parking, welcome to the World. The rooms are smaller than average for Seattle and the bathrooms in particular are tiny. Decor is a tad dated but I understand a renovation is in the works. Superb Kimpton service and Tulio is one of the best restaurants in Seattle. We had a couple of issues which were addressed by the GM herself. A well managed proper with very professional staff.

Thank you so much for posting a review about the Vintage Park. We do have a great location right in the heart of downtown Seattle. Almost everything is within walking distance and our front desk staff would love to show you the best ways around to avoid the killer hills. We do hope we get to welcome you back very soon.

Love Kimpton - the service is great, and they look after the little things. For us, that meant, since we're Kimpton In Touch members (their loyalty program -apply immediately!), we got upgraded rooms, late check-out, Mini-bar credit, welcome back cookies, and our newspaper of choice (New York Times!) delivered to our room. It is such a friendly place; and the nightly wine tasting (at no cost) sponsored by Washington state wineries is a great way to meet others. Rooms are classic and classy, with everything you need, and there's a great restaurant, Tulio's, right next door, with authentic and delicious Italian food.
And for those who care about environmental issues, they offer half-price valet parking for hybrid vehicles, and if you pass on maid service, there's a coupon of $5 to Tulio's or for room service for every day you skip.

Wow looks like you were able to take advantage of all our great amenities at the hotel during your stay with us at the Vintage Park. I am glad you mentioned our new program which is "Choose to Conserve" which allows us to be more eco-friendly by opting out of housekeeping service for the day and we reward you with a dining credit to Tulio our restaurant on premises. I am glad you had such a wonderful experience and we were able to meet all of your Kimpton In Touch preferences. We hope to welcome you back very soon.

Never stayed in a hotel were everything was just perfect. Booked this room thru priceline and got an amazing deal! Room was spacious ( king bed) and bathroom too. I felt so comfortable here and enjoyed my stay. Very detail-oriented hotel... From umbrellas to organic snacks- they thought of everything. And daily free wine tastings too.... how can you not love this place... very close to the Pike Market and major attractions. Love it!

We are so happy you enjoyed your stay at Vintage Park. I love that you pointed out our local amenities for guests. We do try to keep you dry with umbrellas in all of the rooms since the Seattle weather is sometimes unpredictable. Thank you for posting a review of our hotel and we hope you can return to Seattle from sunny California soon.

Sometimes first impressions are accurate. A NYC size room (about 12 x 15) with a tiny closet (had to request more hangars) and no dresser. Expensive parking. No room to put our two suitcases on suitcase stands (there's only one stand anyway). No iPod dock. Dim fluorescent bedside lights. Window open upon arrival (in the 40s outside) and heat doesn't seem to be working properly. Oh yeah - free wine at 5 pm, a flat screen TV and nice bathrobes. I think we got what a friend calls the "Ha Ha Room" - let's give them this room and see if they complain.

Last week we were in a luxury hotel in Portugal at lower cost, so the comparison is stark. This doesn't feel like a fine hotel...at least not to us...at least not on this visit.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post a review on Trip Advisor. I appreciate the candid feedback regarding your stay at the Vintage Park. We apologize for the inconvenience regarding the size of your room and the ability to move around. We are a boutique hotel and our standard rooms are sometimes on the smaller side. We have a converted historical building which gives our hotel a lot of character throughout the entire hotel. We do think this sets us apart from the other downtown properties in Seattle. We do hope during your stay you had good interactions with our staff. We hope you will give us another chance to win you over next time you are in Seattle.

This was my first time at the Vintage Park, but not to a Kimpton hotel, which is a wonderful brand. The staff was incredible--from the valets to the housekeeping, the management has done a wonderful job of training their staff in excellent hospitality, but I get the feeling that the staff really enjoys their job. The Vintage Park has a wine theme (all the Kimptons have some sort of theme). Though all offer complimentary wine hours, this one specialized in Washington state wines, which are excellent. The rooms are lovely and well appointed and if you join their frequent traveller club, you receive free internet for your entire stay. Parking was steep, but it always is in downtown Seattle. Be sure to check Kimpton's website for hotel, restaurant and parking specials. I did not eat at Tulios, but heard it was outstanding. The menu is Tuscan and appeared to be very authentic.

Room Tip: All non-smoking hotel, so you can't go wrong.

We are so glad to hear you are such a fan of Kimpton hotels around the United States. I love that you touched on our special wine hour here at our location, we do try to have a different winery pour each night from Washington State. We have found that guests love to come to Seattle and taste local wines from the area to really get a sense of our wine region here in the Pacific Northwest. Thank you for taking the time to post a review about Vintage Park and we hope you can make another trip out to Seattle very soon.
