“Spacious rooms and a good location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013 via mobile

Stayed here for one night. We had a room with a king size bed on the 7th floor. It was a large room. I didn't see a resturant inside - there was a bar though that was pretty crowded. There is a bakery directly across the street, Dahlia. It looked like good food, but we didn't go inside. Pike's market was just a few blocks away. Close enough to walk but far enough that the tourists and noise are minimal. Would stay here again. Oh, there was a small barking dog in the room next to ours. We only heard it a few times - so I assuming they allow dogs.

We stayed for 3 nights at the Hotel Andra using one of their saving deals online so we received the 3rd night free. We booked a King suite which was a very big room, walk-in closet/dressing room space, kitchenette area and seating area with a King bed- wow!
The hotel is in a great downtown location, and we loved looking out of the hotel windows and seeing a leafy Seattle street in action. We were within walking distance of Pike Place, the harbour and the Space Needle.
The staff were very welcoming and informative, especially the valet guys who were really lovely!
Our room was magnificent, spotlessly clean, well presented, quiet and had everything we needed from well located plug sockets to extra bathroom essentials. Plus a good amount of space which we often find is lacking in central or city centre hotels.

We ordered room service for dinner on our first night (an unusual extravagance but we had heard very good things about Lola the restaurant who provide it) and were not disappointed! The dinner was very good and accompanied by a lovely glass of wine whilst looking out onto the Seattle scene and afterwards we went down to the hotel lobby and sat next to the fire.

I often find hotels a little impersonal and functional and prefer the charm of something a bit smaller but this hotel really did a fantastic job. We really enjoyed our time in Seattle (it's a great city!) and having such a nice place to go back to each evening really enhanced our stay.

Thank you for a lovely trip!

Room Tip: If you have a bit extra in the budget, opt for the bigger room, it really enhanced the stay.

Lovely little boutique hotel recommended by a friend of mine that lives in Seattle. Very close to Pike's Place Market (and the original Starbucks), Seattle Museum of Art, and the Monorail. Rooms were big, with a wet bar. Bathroom is small but there is a vanity table/mirror next to it. Terrible view of the roof/side of other buildings, but we were rarely in the room, so not really an issue.

Hotel Andra is located in a nice place at downtown. There's a grocery store right across the street. A few nice restaurants are right downstairs. In the morning, they will deliver New York Times right to your door and there's a cab waiting there for your usage.

Bottom line, I will recommend it to my friends.

We stayed for a long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We didn't spend too much time at the hotel but the room was very comfortable, quiet and well-appointed. Small bathroom but with a large shower and lots of counter/storage space. Excellent restaurants next door (Lola) and right across the street (Dahlia Lounge--the coconut cream pie is a must) plus plenty of others in the immediate vacinity. Nordstrom's and Macy's are just a couple of blocks away and the Chihuli glass exhibit at Seattle Center is not to be missed.

Fitness centers are really important to us but the Andra's was quite small and limited (a few cardio machines, a single weight bench and some free weights). We inquired about other options at the front desk and for $9 per person/per day, received passes to use the Seattle Executive Fitness Club just a quick walk from the hotel--a first class facility which was without question worth the upcharge. Better than any hotel gym.

We will definitely seek out the Andra next time we're in Seattle.

Second time staying at Hotel Andra and, sadly, both times have been single nights following longer family trips... kind of "decompression nights". At some point, we have to book more than one night at a time because this is a great hotel. Right in the center of Belltown, great restaurants all around (including downstairs), Cinerama next door, Top Pot around the corner, galleries a couple of blocks away, Pike Place within walking distance, it may be the perfect location in Seattle. Staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are extremely comfortable and offer great views of the city. We'll definitely be back.

Husband and I stayed for a long weekend. Stayed in a suite which was spacious, nicely decorated and clean. Inside door lock is 'electronic' not mechanical and apparently ours wasn't working. Hotel staff entered our room 4 separate times while we were in the room and it was 'locked' frim the inside. They fixed it after we reported it but only offered 25% off our stay. Concierge is rarely there and not particularly helpful or nice. Staff is friendly but not exceptionally knowledgeable about Seattle. All in all, average and disappointing.

Dear Travelag7,

Thank you for staying at Hotel Ändra, it was a pleasure having you stay with us. Our goal is to exceed our guest's expectations and I'm disappointed to learn that we fell short of exceeding yours. I am truly sorry for any inconvenience you experienced during your stay.

Please know that we take safety and security seriously at Hotel Ändra. I understand that our Engineer team quickly repaired the malfunctioning circuit board in your door lock as soon as you reported it. I was also glad to learn that at no time was your personal security or safety at risk. The lock was engaged at all times - preventing all unauthorized access, it was the secondary or "do not disturb / privacy" lock that malfunctioned. We do appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention so that you and future guest never encounter the same concerns.

We also will use your review as part of our service training with our front desk and concierge team. We pride ourselves on offering our guest the ultimate experience with service and luxury, including helpful tips on attractions and local restaurants. You will not hear a myriad of excuses, just a sincere apology.

I hope that you will allow us the opportunity to show you we can do it right! Please feel free to contact me should your travel plans include an overnight stay in Seattle. I would be glad to personally assist you.

Warmest Regards,
Lars
