First, I should mention that we got our room through Priceline. I am not sure of the going rate if you were to just walk in or book on Expedia. But we got a rate from Priceline that was about what you would pay for a lesser hotel like a Days Inn.
The room was much better than expected. The service was accommodating and top-notch. We weren't put in some skanky room reserved for Priceline guests and our request for a certain floor was happily met.
The location really cannot be beat if you want to walk the city. It is centrally located and everything is within walking distance. We walked to Capital Hill for dinner, to the stadium for a game, to the market and to the waterfront. We had our car but did not need to use it.
The parking at the hotel is ridiculously expensive (as with all Seattle hotels), but with a little driving around, you might find free street parking like we did. Try on the other side of the Convention Center.
Our room was clean and comfortable and up-to-date. We were happy.
Downsides? Paying for internet in the room and the taffeta bedspread (looked nice but made so much noise anytime someone moved).
