My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Moore 8/24 - 8/27. Wonderful staff let us stash our suitcases due to a super early flight in to Seattle, then got us settled in later when the room was ready. Same wonderful staff also had great recommendations for places to go "out" to that were close to the hotel when we were looking for more of a local scene vs. crazy nightlife after a few Mariners games and a Sounders game. Super nice, helpful and friendly.
Attached coffee shop was terrific!
The Moore felt clean, safe, and was a pretty cool place all around. Definitely old fashioned with some fun modern updates, that was part of its charm. Loved how affordable it was to put us 2 blocks from Pike's and a couple quick blocks from the rail. The construction across the street was not an issue getting to/from the Hotel (we walked/took rail everywhere, no car). Stayed in a Suite for the first night, then moved to a regular, non-shared queen-bed room, due to room availability. They were awesome about letting me book the suite one night, the room the others. No issues or confusion about this when we arrived. Suite was great - super roomy, functional kitchen, little amenities in the bathroom and hairdryer included. Regular room was fine too - definitely felt smaller after the suite, but plenty of room for two adults, suitcases, etc. I did notice with the regular room, I had to request a hair dryer, which was not a problem at all.
There were box fans in each room, and with the windows open at night, room temp was super comfortable. Street noise wasn't an issue for us at all. No screens on windows, but didn't have any problems with birds or bugs.
Loved our stay - would absolutely come back. It's not ritzy, it felt more like guest quarters in someone's cool, historic, remodeld home!
