“Friendly helpful staff. Great location.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2011 via mobile

A heritage hotel was a nice clean hotel. The rooms had a little kitchen which came in very handy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Close by everything. Spec needle is walking distance 15mins approx. Downtown is just a short monorail ride after a 10-13min walk.

Inn at Queen Anne is an older boutique hotel with age-appropriate decorations in the halls and lobby. My room was basic but clean and freshly painted. A view of the Space Needle loomed large out the window; it is only 4 blocks away. There was a small full kitchen, complete with gas stove and oven, bar refrigerator, microwave, and pots, dishes, and utensils. There are 2 supermarkets within 2 blocks, so it is easy to get whatever you want to eat in. But there are a very large number of restaurants of all kinds within a few blocks.
Downtown Seattle is a 10 minute bus ride away; the buses run frequently and to after midnight.

On the down side, there is no elevator in the 3 story building. And the free wi-fi was up and down most of the time. Also there was major construction across the street that started at 7am on weekdays. It was hard to sleep in with the nails being pounding incessantly. That should be a temporary thing since they were building quickly.

I had a weekly rate for my 11 day stay and the price was the best.

Room Tip: A room facing south (toward downtown) and toward the front should provide a great view of the Space...

The room had a kitchette which we weren't expecting. The room was clean and ok sized. The staff were friendly. There are no elevators so preferably ask for the ground floor if your bags are heavy!!! It was a cute, warm and friendly place. i would def stay here again. The only bad thing is that they take a deposit from your credit card and refund it. Being British we aren't used to that - I thought they would only charge your card if needed. Otherwise perfect. Excellent location - very close to the Space Needle and some sports ground. There is also a drug store up the road and a safeway around the corner.

Room Tip: Ground floor if your bags are heavy or a smoker - can only smoke outside

I loved this hotel for the location as well as the price. I was in room 302 which had a view of the space needle. The heat was perfect, the shower strong and hot, the toiletries stocked daily, free coffee and newspaper in the lobby, and a huge selection of cable channels. The building was built in the 20's and has beautiful stained glass light fixtures in the hall ways and a beautiful crystal fixture in the main lobby. The staff was very helpful and when I asked for a hair dryer and for a room with an outlet, as I read here that someone had neither in their room, the girl at the front desk said, as she gave me a hair dryer, that if there wasn't an outlet she would change my room. There was and will be construction going on across the street but I was there on a Friday night and it stopped at 8 PM and when I left on Sunday, it still had not started. The location is a 15 minute walk to Pike Market and there is a parking lot that is cheaper one block down then the one right next to the building. There is also a post office a few steps away as well as a lot of stores to buy food & drink so you could use the micowave, stove or store your left overs in the refridgerator. I can't wait to stay at the Inn at Queen Anne away.

I admit, when we pulled up and saw the seven homeless men outside asking for money, I thought about going to a nicer part of town. However we stayed and it was great. The rooms are small but comfy, the bathrooms and linens clean. The water didn't taste bad. There are some great restaurants in the area, thought the breakfast place the front desk recommended was overpriced and just so-so. Excellent thai and greek within walking distance. We were attending a convention at the Seattle center, and the hotel gave us a nice discount. It was a two minute walk from all the events. We paid 15 dollars a day for parking in their tiny lot. there is construction going on though so we were blocked in a few times by a tractor thingy. wouldn't try getting in and out in anything bigger than a station wagon or mini-van.

Room Tip: This is a walk-up.

If you're looking for a five star, luxury hotel, this is not the place to go. This is a heritage building and as such, is going to have its quirks. However, we knew exactly what the hotel was like... it was our second time staying.
Yes, it's rustic and quaint. The water pipes can creak a little, the style is quite old (remember: heritage building). The tv isn't a flat screen lcd type. None of this really mattered to us. We stayed because the last time we'd been there, the staff was helpful and friendly, we were able to cook our own meals, and it was central to the places we wanted to go. It was the same this time, but the staff were actually extra helpful when a booking error (from a hotel booking website) had come up. They solved the problem and made sure we got the type of room we wanted. They were very friendly, personable and were able to answer any questions we had.
I've seen some negative reviews on this site and I have to say this: if you're looking for an ultra modern hotel, maybe a four or five star, don't come to the inn and then complain because it didn't meet your expectation. If you're looking for a nice, simple place that's near a lot of popular locations, want to deal with friendly, helpful staff members, and want to travel on a budget, I can't think of anyplace in the area that's better suited to your needs.

Room Tip: If you want a kitchenette, be aware that there is a two burner gas stove, and not an oven. There was...

Recently spent the weekend with my girlfriend at the Inn at Queen Anne in Seattle for the Jet City Comic-Con. First, the location - everything you want or need is nearby; a couple minutes walk from the Space Needle, not far from the Pike Place Market (20 min walk or so), a 24-hour grocery nearby, lots of places to eat, and other neat stores and such all within easy walking distance.
The rooms are not huge or fancy by any means, but clean and quaint and have a fully-equipped kitchenette and small refrigerator, so you can save even more by preparing your own food. Gas stove though, so you may have to ask for matches from the front counter.
Since I mention them, staff are friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Hair dryers are available at the front desk, there's an ice machine and a laundry room; you can either wash your own clothes in their coin-op machines, or spoil yourself and use their laundry service, which is not cheap.
Earplugs may be necessary for light sleepers, as the area is quite busy, and the A/C unit lets in a lot of street noise. We had no problem with this, but some might.
Parking is cheap at $15 per night, but not very convenient, as it's in the underground garage at the neighboring Marqueen Hotel. It's valet parking, so they can have it ready for you on request, but you have to walk the block or so to get it.
This was a non-issue for us, as we didn't need it all weekend, and felt safe knowing it was secure in a locked garage.
There is coffee available in the lobby, which is adequate for a caffeine fix, but those with more discerning tastes might just want to go to the Starbuck's immediately around the corner.
It's admittedly not everyone's cup of tea, but we enjoyed it enough to make it our go-to place to stay when we next visit Seattle, and to recommend it to all our acquaintances who are considering visiting the city.

Room Tip: No elevator or luggage service, so those with lots of bags may want to choose a ground floor room.
