“Seriously, you must stay here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

We LOVED this hotel! It's easily one of the top five hotels I've ever stayed in, and we won't stay anywhere else in Seattle in the future if we can help it.

We were only going to be in Seattle for a few days in July and I just happened to be offered a good price on Expedia so I checked out the great reviews and booked.

We started our trip with a horrible travel experience with cancelled and delayed flights. We were really worried that we wouldn't make it to Seattle. We were especially worried that we would lose our first night's payment for our pre-paid room. I called the hotel from the airport in Philly and rather frantically explained our issue. Amy at the front desk couldn't have been nicer. She told me not to worry, that she would make a note so we could arrive super late and still have our room. She said to call back if the second possible flight was cancelled and she would work something out for our pre-payment issue. I was so grateful to have that off my mind as we worked to get on a new flight. By the time we finally got to Seattle it was 2am and we had been trying to get there for 14 hours. As promised, Amy had arranged everything and informed the overnight person (whose name I unfortunately didn't get) we would likely arrive very late. He was very friendly and helpful to two very weary travelers. Everyone with whom we interacted was so nice and helpful.

Our room was lovely, clean, well-appointed and a nice size. Tasteful decoration, nothing overdone. The bathroom: awesome! Neat high ceilings, such nice toiletries and, OMG, a heat light! It felt very luxurious. I feel horrible saying it, as I am being super selfish, but the only thing that could have been improved in the bathroom would have been a higher flow shower head. ;)

We couldn't swing a water view room, but honestly, you don't need it! Our city view room was beautiful and the rooftop deck gave us all the views we could possibly ask for. Sunset on the rooftop deck is incredible, so don't miss it.

The courtyard is so nice... just a peaceful little area tucked in the middle of the hotel, with outdoor seating for one of the restaurants and doors to a few shops. Once inside the courtyard you'd have no idea you are just steps from the Pike Place Market (Can I say: location, location, location!!! Fabulous and convenient to so many things we wanted to do.).

The bed was SO comfortable. I have a notoriously hard time sleeping on hotel beds, but both my husband and I slept wonderfully here. Soft, luxurious blankets too! And we loved the window seat, even without the water view. Nicely insulated windows kept out any unwanted city noise.

If you have an opportunity to stay here DO IT! You'll love it.

Room Tip: Don't worry about getting a water view room. If the weather is nice (as it typically is in Seatt...

This is my third time at Inn at the Market and it just gets better every time! The hotel staff are very friendly, helpful, and always have a smile on. We stayed in a double-level room and my daughter and her friend had the king bed upstairs and I slept in the sofa bed. We couldn't decide who had a better sleep! The sofa bed finally was not a thin mattress that you usually in other hotels can feel the middle bar through. It was so comfortable and I slept great. The view is to die for. My daughters best friend had never been to Washington State, and the hotel was a great first impression! She even screamed in joy when we walked into the room and the girls were looking around.

Room Tip: All the rooms are great.

This is our sixth visit to the Inn and the Market, and this time it happened that we were here for Bastille Day. Campagne and Marche', two of the hotel's affiliate restaurants held a really fun festival to commemorate the event. It was a lively and fun little festival. We got room 614 for the fourth time and really love the views of the Puget Sound, Mt. Ranier and the Pike's Market. The staff really helped us out and got our room ready early. What a great hotel with truly caring and helpful service!

Room Tip: Do try to get a room with a view of the market. It's very lively down there!

Our two night stay at Inn at the Market was perfect in every way. We enjoyed a lovely, spacious room with incredible views of the waterfront, Pike Place Market, the Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. At night, we enjoyed star filled skies on the rooftop deck. We hope you are also fortunate enough to experience this delightful Inn!

We arrived by Amtrak and took a cab to the Inn. Everyone is very friendly and helpful and I do believe the person at the podium in the lobby has a remote to have the elevator ready for you when he sees you heading that way! We had a courtyard view and maybe the bay views are better..I don't know..but this was a great room and it was fun to watch the diners and comings and goings about the courtyard. We went to the rooftop every afternoon to see the bay activity as well as enjoy wine and cheese. Of course, the cheese (and crackers) came from Beechers right at the bottom of the sidewalk from the hotel. Anything else was available too because the public market is just right there. The whole outside area at the inn seemed to have an enticing aroma too..it must have been the planters..some with herbs and of course the great aroma of food..maybe described as shitake mushrooms sauteed in butter. It was a wonderful experience.

Location wise it is one of the best places in the city. Just on the fringe of pike place market you are in the midst of the most happening place in Seattle.
Great places to eat around the hotel, and it also has one on its premises - Marché which is well rated.
Spacious rooms, well ventilated, views of the water, market or courtyard depending on the room you choose, and one of the most wonderful beds that I have slept in. Bath rooms are very spacious with signature toiletries.
Down side is a light coming into the room and noise from the street below even if you are on a higher floor. We were on the 4th floor.
Super clean, super location, super service, super stay, would surely stay there again.

Room Tip: Rooms on the higher floors and facing the courtyard may be less noisy, but view may be better from t...

The hotel is located right at the Market. Walking is such a pleasure, so close to restaurants, stores, etc. When I made the reservation, I was given the opportunity to have a car pick us up. I chose to go with that option, as well as have the driver meet us at the baggage carousel. Best decision ever. Had a room with a view of Elliott Bay, just gorgeous. I am a very early riser, so I could watch the Market come to life. Our room was ready as soon as we arrived, which was nice being we were up at 1:00 am Seattle time to make our flight. The staff has been extremely friendly and helpful. No request has been to difficult.
