On your next trip to Seattle make sure you book a room at the Hotel Monaco. The people at the front desk and bell men were top notch. Service was A+ and everyone made my stay first class.

It's my third stay at this location and it just gets better every time.

Kimpton Hotels are the best!

The Staff are very helpful, friendly and honest. We forgot a peacoat in the closet and did not realize it until a couple days later while in Vancouver. We called and they would have it readily available for us at the front desk upon our return. The Hotel itself is very chic, luxurious with a great lobby sitting area complete with a wood burning fireplace and two grand, ballroom chandeliers. Rooms are spacious, well appointed, spotless, comfortable but the shower pressure could be better. Location is perfect; walking distance to famous market and downtown hotspots.

Thanks so very much, the staff, the location and the meeting space make this hotel very special in so many ways, the restaurant is icing on the cake - give Sazerac a try next time you are here, the happy hour alone is worth the trouble! hope that coat was here when you came back but why would you need a peacoat in Seattle in June! (its 63 degrees and raining today, yep you need it).

Everything about the hotel was fantastic. The concierge team of Dan and Peter were great. The bell staff at the door were phenomenal. They all really took care of me and my family. They ensured that cars were there for me and assisted with my transportation. The wine reception is great; especially when Nate June plays in the lobby. Catch this guy, he is great. Thanks to everyone at Hotel Monaco, I hope to be back soon.

Mike, you are so correct on all accounts. Dan and Peter at the Concierge Desk can set up anything to make your stay perfect, dinner reservations or tickets to the 5th Avenue theatre just up the street. They are great guys to work with, but you hit it correctly with Nate June, the guitar guy who plays in our lobby Thursday and down at the Alexis on other nights. Our own Seattle Idol.

The Monaco is a lovely, elegant, warm and welcoming hotel in an excellent location in downtown Seattle. The people at reception are helpful and welcoming and housekeeping staff go above and beyond requirements to provide coffee service in the room upon request. We had requests for a coffee machine, packets of coffee, and the creamers (forgotten in the request for extra coffee packets) delivered to our door quickly and in a very friendly manner although I'm certain the staff were extremely busy as the hotel was generally very busy. The suites which have a separate bedroom and sitting area are incredibly comfortable and feel genuinely like 'a home away from home'.

Room Tip: As mentioned in my review, the suites are well worth the extra cost and you will receive value for m...

Thanks Doc, Victoria is such a terrific spot and easy to get to if you are in Seattle. The Clipper makes it a perfect opportunity to make a trip to Seattle a two nation vacation, glad you came over and stayed with us, especially with a review like this! Coffee in Seattle is like fine wine, a million little coffee stores and then that big one, so we focus on making that coffee experience special when in your room. Our Premier floors all have coffee makers or you can just ask for one when you arrive. Those Monte Carlo Suites are great for families and most important if you have small kids like I do, - there are 2 TVs! and you dont have to watch SpongeBob.

We stayed here twice and will come back many more times. What makes this hotel different is that the staff is empowered to do things specially for you. When you need a bottle of champagne, they find it. When you need them to watch your car, they do it. When you miss their happy hour they give you wine coupons to have your own happy hour.

It is a completely unique experience to be treated like an individual by staff members who really care about your satisfaction.

Room Tip: Become a member of Kimption InTouch and they will treat you even better. Just let the staff know wh...

Richard, your response made my day! The staff here know that they are all totally empowered to do whatever they need to in order that you will leave the hotel saying 'wow, that was a great experience'. In so many hotels you are just a room number, Kimpton hotels, we want to know your name, and your dogs name too!

... or just what the doctor ordered. This hotel receives two or three great reviews every day, that's why we chose it - thanks all you TA Reviewers. It's a pity that good reviews disappear from sight so quickly. CosmoD438 says it all as we found it. We spent four nights here as first time visitors to Seattle. What a great location!! Airport, light train, one steep climb to front door, then hotel is a launch pad to Pike's Place, Pioneer Square, Waterfront, buses to Ballard, Everett. Spacious quiet room with the most comfortable bed and fine linen (worth upgrade to deluxe), although shortage of drawers, and only perimeter lighting. Engaged with fellow travellers at happy hour (suggest rotate wines daily) and had a wonderful meal at Sazerac Restaurant. Sincerely courteous service. Recommend - definitely.

As a serious contributor to TripAdvisor ( 46 reviews) I greatly appreciate your candid comments and suggestions. The location - hey we are lucky - easy to get to from the train (yep its up a serious hill, but only a block) and easy to walk to everything once you do arrive. We live in a neighborhood of great restaurants, Tulio up the street, the Library Bistro down the street and then there is Sazerac in the building, once you finish that climb - a glass of Washington Wine and the roast chicken - will make anyone smile and any day seem like a party. Thanks for this, come back soon.

The Hotel Monaco was the perfect choice for our girls weekend! I let them know it was a college friend reunion and they had champagne and happy anniversary balloons waiting in the room- how adorable! Not to mention the adorable sea otter waiting for us on the bed! The rooms are spacious and beautiful! Perfect for our group that in known over packed for our one night on the town:) I can't wait to get back!
