We stayed in the Residences about seven or eight years ago when our children were young, and really liked it. This visit wasn't so successful. We had a family room - last available room - for the two of us. With kids it might have been good - or possibly cramped. Kids' beds are on a mezzanine area which they would have loved.
There was some kind of non-stop machine noise outside the window, so couldn't sit on the balcony or open window. Really not good in the heat!
There was NO WATER AVAILABLE IN THE BAR! NOT KIDDING!
NO LIFT to our floor so I had to walk up one flight - have arthritis in knee so it was difficult.
Found the breakfast poor for the price. Fruit salad was available but was tinned - far too sweet. Only cornflakes and chocolate flakes - fine for kids, not for adults.
Had planned to stay two nights but left after one due mainly to the noise and lack of lift to second floor (hadn't booked in advance so no other room available.)
Really lovely beach just down the road, worth going to Treboul for that - and, on reflection, probably an ok place to stay with kids, which is why we had good memories of it from last time.
Lovely little restaurant just next door - see separate review of Bar de la Plage.
Be warned, though, that there's really not much to do in Treboul unless you're into simple little beaches (we are!) or spa hotels - which is where I'll stay next time. The actual beach is well worth viisting, lovely air of calm, especially in the evening or early morning.
