“Servers make the meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2012 via mobile

Went to the melting pot for my husband's and I anniversary. Had reservation for 9:30, but showed up at 9 and figured we hang out at the bar, nope the manager got right on it and sat us not even five minutes later. Impressed!!! They were very busy the night we were there but the server was there in a timely fashion and even chatted with us about the Super Bowl on Sunday. Granted, it's an expensive meal out, but the servers make it a great experience!!!!!

“Date Night!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2012

My wife and I love to dine here on our rare date nights. It's very expensive, but you nearly have to be rolled out of this place in a wheelchair! Of course, we have our favorites, but nearly everything they serve here is excellent! The service is second to none as well. Highly recommended.

“Never disappoints... always wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2012

Whether for dessert and a drink, or for the whole thing (The Big Night Out), the Kennesaw location of The Melting Pot never disappoints us. The food is always great, the staff is always friendly, and the atmosphere is very private and romantic.

We love it. Have to travel just over an hour to get there, but it's worth it!

“Confusing, uncomfortable, pricey, okay but nothing special!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2011

Myself, husband, son, daughter and their spouses (6) went for dinner on Black Friday, the early bird to be exact. It was supposed to be $29.00 per person for three choices, cheese, meats and chocolate. We did indeed get the three choices and they were okay. The bread was rather stale tasting, but after dipping in cheese it was better...but everthing tastes better in cheddar! The meat portions were much too small. THe potatos take much too long to cook and did not have a plesant taste. The steam from the pots were giving me a facial (unwanted). Our drinks were not refreshed in a timely manner. I did not feel like the staff cared one bit about us. Kind of dark and dingy. Not a happy place.

“A poor excuse for pleasing the public”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2011

DO NOT wait til the last day to use a certificate that gives that day as the expiration date. In fact, don't go to an establishment that doesn't see the error of their ways. We went to MP for the first time last night, did not know reservations were required. We were TURNED AWAY @ 7, as was my son and his date @ 8. 'No tables available'...and all that was offered was the price of the certificate to be redeemed. So, for $25 they were 'offering' $25?? Better PR would have been to offer an extension of the expiration. Mark Gunn, owner of all the Georgia MPs, told me it was my fault I hadn't used the certificates til the date of the expiration. REALLY??? Do yourself a favor... buy your own fondue pot, peanut oil, a filet, cheese, french bread and make a salad...save your money. Ethics is not part of MPs moniker.
