“Pet Friendly”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

The hotel needs update, furniture old, paint in rooms need freshing up, drapes in lobby dirty,, stained rugs, room and sheets were clean, just tired hotel, it is pet friendly but I challenge you to find any grass on the property to walk your dog. Elevator was out of service for a while, they have 1 luggage cart for hotel. The breakfast is tired also, cereals , no fresh fruit, no yogurt, . The price is ok, at least it is not over priced !

Someone had been smoking in a non-smoking room ! Stains on the furniture and the bed and pillows were terrible. We arrived at 2:45 am and were too tired to go some where else. This is only a $35.00 room at best.
Very un-happy customer, and laquinta should give us a discount towards a stay at a nice LaQuintsa

Hotel is good and staff is very nice with all even the rooms are clean. Only one problem internet as soon as you will close door of room there will be no wifi signal and hence you will have no internet.

So I have not an issues with anything expect internet.

Great for short stay on business or pleasure. Stay here several times coming & going to fla. Clean, restaurants close by. Breakfast just so so. Nice clean outside pool area. Staff were easy to work with.

Ah, the Kennesaw La Quinta, where the best room in the house must surely be a tent in the parking lot. Here’s our sad LQ saga: My son’s baseball team stayed here while playing in a tournament nearby. When we walked in, we noted the stains of unknown provenance on the curtains and the dinged-up furniture (not what you expect to see in a $100-plus-per-night hotel so far from downtown). Judging by the smell, our “smoke-free” room had been a nicotine pit in the not-too-distant past, and the greasy-feeling carpet was just ewwww! And, while the hotel advertises itself as “pet friendly,” guests must sign a waiver swearing not to leave pets alone in their rooms even briefly (because they no doubt plan to dine at one of the countless restaurants that allow pets and to bring Rover along with them to the breakfast bar). But I am not super-picky about hotels, and figured we would at least get a good night’s sleep after an exhausting day at the tourney, so I shrugged all of that off. Little did I know that in a few hours my unsuspecting family would fall victim to …. (cue Twilight Zone theme song here) THE NOISE.

A few hours after crawling between the sticky, polyester-feeling sheets, the whole clan was jolted awake by a sound that I can only describe as a cacophony from Hell as envisioned by Stephen King. The aging air conditioner, laboring mightily, was emitting a whining shriek that sounded like fingernails on a blackboard amplified 1,000 times. I rocketed out of bed, turned down the air, and eventually we all settled back down into an uneasy slumber. But sometime later in the wee hours, the air conditioner resumed its strident complaint. My husband got up, unplugged the beast, and we all attempted, with varying degrees of success, to go (sweatily) back to sleep.

In the morning, after waiting 15 minutes in line for the generic-brand Cheerios, Ellie Mae Clampett-quality biscuits and gluey gravy featured on the inexplicably overcrowded breakfast buffet, we reported our problem to the magenta-haired Goth girl on duty at the desk. She reported that alas, she could not help us, but that one of the managers, whom she ID’d as Juanita and Mr. Patel, would surely call us back. These two must be very busy working on their dissertations for their advanced degrees in Hospitality, because they have responded neither to our calls nor emails. So my advice? If you’re headed for Kennesaw, pack a tent. (Or reservations to Best Western or Day’s Inn.)

This is a nice and comfortable (not posh) place to stay for business or for pleasure. It is very close to many shops and restaurants, with easy access to I-75. The rooms are clean and a simple breakfast is included in the room charge. The service is also good.

Room Tip: Go around and enjoy the variety of eating places nearby!

Motel is clean and decent. Rooms are a bit small and cramped. Breakfast room is almost non-existant. However, compared to the other rates in the area, this is about the only place you can afford to stay that is decent. Walls seem thin, as there seemed to be a lot of noise coming in from the hall, next room and even parking lot.

Room Tip: Get an upper floor, as we heard people in the parking lot all night long (from the 1st floor)
