“Ultimate Aialik = Ultimate Adventure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2012

For anyone a little crunched for time, but who is still looking for an adventure that encompasses all that Alaskan sea kayaking has to offer, the Ultimate Aialik trip is the one to take. It's amazing how much wildlife, scenery, education, and just plain fun was packed into just one day. The service and friendship offered by owners Chris and Pam from the moment we first contacted Liquid Adventures until the time we returned from our trip was above and beyond. Chris was also our guide for the day, and he could not have been more knowledgeable and competent. Even the lunch provided during our trip was phenomenal (cranberries on a turkey wrap - who knew?). If you're in the Seward area and you want an awesome experience, contact Liquid Adventures. You'll be glad you did.

“A day we will never forget.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2011

My wife and I and 2 daughters (ages 8 and 10) went on the Ultimate Aialik trip.
It was at the end of August and the season was ending. I am so glad we didn't miss the opportunity to go. It was a day to remember forever.
We were a bit nervous as to how rough the water taxi might be but it was fine. The water taxi driver was very obliging in terms of stopping to see wildlife: seals, humpbacks, dolphins birds etc......
The kayaking itself was so peaceful; only broken by the thunderous clap of the glacier calving. It was a good workout but not overly strenuous.
Reading other reviews on TA, it seems like Liquid Adventures like to keep their tour groups small. This was great for us as there was no one else we were holding back.
Mark our guide is a great guy. He made sure we were happy and safe and kept checking in with the kids. (Thanks Mark!!)
We lunched very close to the glacier. There was real excitement when due to a large calving there was a wave heading straight towards our pic-nic spot. We were able to scramble to higher ground without the loss of a single sandwich!!
I can't fault anything about the trip and encourage anyone reading this review to stop thinking and start booking with Liquid Adventures. You will not be sorry!!!

My daughter and I reaseached carefully and chose the Ultimate Aialik trip. I had questions, called Pam and she promptly returned my calls and answered my many questions. Liquid Adventures makes every effort to accomodate your needs. They are service oriented and want to give you a true Alaska experience. They are professional, helpful, fun, down to earth folks. The water taxi, equipment, gear is all excellent. The gourmet lunch was delicious, healthy, and the setting unbelievable. Not having much kayaking experience, safety was a concern, we felt completly safe and confident from beginning to end. Mark our guide was skilled, knowledgeable, shared information of the area and animals and made sure we were enjoying the experience. Everything was completely taken care of. Not only was it my Alaska highlight, it's a lifetime highlight. Words can't describe how spectacular the experience is, you must go experience it yourself. It exceeded all expectations. We are looking forward to returning for a 3 day trip. We highly reccommend Liquid Adventures. It's well worth it, you'll be glad. Thank you to our friends at Liquid Adventure!

“Highest Recommendation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2011

While our kayaking adventure to the Aiailk Glacier never actually took place because of inclement weather, our experience with Liquid Adventures rates our highest recommendation. From the time we booked the excursion until the day we were supposed to set out, the team at Liquid Adventures were in touch with us via e-mail and telephone all the way. Our reservation was handled with the utmost professionalism, we received confirmation e-mails with complete instructions and recommendations (regarding type of clothing, etc.) and we were contacted the day before our kayak trip was to take place. When it became very apparent that the weather would not allow for a kayaking trip, Pam Sousa was incredibly sympathetic and offered suggestions as to what other options were available to us. She provided helpful information and tried to do everything she could to ameliorate our disappointment. Our deposit was refunded that day and she followed up with a personal e-mail. She and the crew at Liquid Adventures were so accommodating and friendly - and we didn't even go on the kayak trip! I can state with complete certainty that this is a first rate company, run by honest, considerate people who will treat clientele with professionalism and respect. They rate our highest recommendation and we will recommend Liquid Adventures to our friends who plan to visit the Seward area.

“Amazing Place, Fantastic Guides”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2011

We paddled for two days with Chris, Pam and the rest of the gang. The first day we went up into Aialik Bay and paddled near the glacier. Our guide, Mik, was awesome and set the perfect pace for our group. Lunch was a real treat. Everything was homemade, healthy, and delicious. A testament to their willingness to go the extra mile, our guide actually set up a tarp canopy on the beach so we could rest out of the rain while we ate...very cool! The second day our group of four split up and two of us went kayak fishing with Chris. If you like to fish, you owe it yourself to hit the water with Chris. He is a fountain of tips and stories and his gear is absolutely top-notch. Hooking into a silver salmon from the kayak was one the highlights of my 3 weeks in Alaska. I will certainly be back to fish again with Chris.

All in all, Liquid Adventures just goes the extra mile to make sure your experience matches the grandeur of Kenai Fjords and Resurrection Bay. They appreciate that going to Alaska is a once in a lifetime experience for most people and, unlike some outfits in Alaska, they treat your trip like the precious thing it is and strive to ensure you enjoy every moment.
