Our family (with 2 kids, 8 and 11) stayed here for 2 nights while in Seward. Loved the lodge! Kids loved playing with the owners dogs (Jax and Logan) and we loved that they had tons of room outside to run around and play. Often when traveling the kids don't get much time to just PLAY. It was great that one of our nights other guests were there with an 11 year old too and the kids all played outside until 10 or 11pm. We enjoyed having access to the BBQ so we could cook one night. We also appreciated having internet access, it was our only chance to get online for our 12 days in AK and it was good to be able to check in.
Only negitive I can think of is that there wasn't a washer/dryer available to use. Not a big deal but most places we had stayed during the trip did have access (usually coin op) so I think we had expected it here too.
