Stay at the Exit Glacier Lodge if you want to experience true Alaskan hospitality in the most beautiful place on earth!

My husband and I were married in Seward and everyone in our wedding party, plus guests, and family stayed at the the Exit Glacier Lodge. Sarah and Brenda made sure we had EVERYTHING we needed. There was no request too small.

The morning breakfast spread is superb. The waffles were a definite favorite.

The lodge itself was clean, homey, and in a gorgeous setting. Everyone loved to sit on the porch with their morning coffee with a full view of the mountains and watch the bunnies. They were so tame, you could pet them!

When we left, we felt like we were leaving home, which was a first for me.

We will definitely be back!

My husband and I enjoyed a night's stay here. It was the best deal we had in all of our Alaska travel. The price was moderate by Alaska standards, The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was very tasty(waffles). Loved the rabbits in the parking lot. Also ate dinner at the Salmon Bake next door and the food there was excellent. Grilled Salmon was done just right. Everything was just as represented by the website that I used to find the place. Would recommend it to anyone.

Room accommodations here are modest but adequate. Staff is very friendly, almost family. Breakfast highlight is the hotel's own waffle recipe, with bags of mix available to purchase. You'll need a car, bike, good hiking shoes, or $19 for a cab to go anywhere but meals. There are 3 restaurants within 10-minute walking distance. Ask about Yvon at Le Barn Appétit for breakfast or lunch

Stayed hear on motorcycle trip from Texas. Really enjoyed the hospitality and location. Short drive into town or to the glacier. Wonderful hostess. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

We spent our first couple of nights next door at the owners' contiguous cabins (Salmon Bake Cabins, great option, separately reviewed), and our last night here due to booking limitations. Super place to stay! The price was right for a quad (two big queens), around $120 with continental breakfast included. We wanted a place that was out of town with more of a country feel, and this fit the bill pérfectly. Witht rent-a-cars going at $85+ per day, we decided to pay the very resaonable $10 one-way taxi to town and save vs. other more pricey options. Room was perfect...comfortable beds, great bathroom. Downstairs continental breakfast was good...with a waffle machine to make the kids (and carbo-hungry adults) happy! The owners (Sarah) and employees were exceptionally gracious and very helpful with suggestions arranging tours and such. Made us feel most welcome! I wouldn't think twice about going back here!

(Just one comment on transport: don't use "Mike's" taxi service. We got totally ripped off on our last day because we failed to agree upon a fare with a short stop in between. I later spoke with a prominent local business owner about Seward in general, and was told that he was not in her favor either.)

We stayed for two nights in Cabin #1. There were four adults. It was adequate but a bit tight for four adults. Best for two adults and two children, but we made it work. The owners were very friendly and helpful and every morning they were up and about talking with guests that were at breakfast making sure they were attended to and asking if they could be of assistance with sightseeing ideas. We ate at the Salmon Bake restaurant and it was very good. Save yourself some time and just eat there because the other restaurants in town are very expensive. Salmon Bake was expensive too but at least it was located right there on the property making it easy to get dinner. Had a picnic one night on the table outside the cabin. Bought chicken at the local grocery store and it was nice to eat outside and enjoy nature.
My only suggestion to the owners would be to "look up" when cleaning as there were alot of cob webs on the ceilings. Everything else was very clean and the bedding comfortable. Nice soft towels too. Their pricing was very fair as many hotels, cabins, etc in Alaska are very expensive. Loved the two dogs on the property too. One little daschund and a lab I think. Friendly. I would go here again.

My daughter and I stayed at Exit Glacier Lodge after reviewing many of the hotels in Seward. We were very pleased with the decor. We reserved the room with the queen bed and one standard. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean. Just a wonderful place to stay. Just be careful of the bears. We did see a black bear, but they had a sign up warning us. What a thrill this was.. I would definitely recommend this lodge. Its only a few miles outside of Seward.

Room Tip: Go to their website and review each room choice. Some have private baths, and some are community bat...
