This B&B is for couples. However, we were a few guys on an adventure trip in AK.
But Lori - the owner - made every attempt to accommodate our needs and make the stay as comfortable as possible.
The main reason for booking this place was the reviews I read on TripAdvisor, and it was $30/night cheaper than the motel on the waterfront. I can tell you - every positive review is true.
So when it comes to value, it is a BIG plus; probably the best.
The location is excellent; walking distance from the main docks - yet quiet and very "suburbia".
It is also within walking distance from the Safeway.
The rooms are very clean, and set up for couples. They have the "woman's touch" - and give you that home away from home feeling. Loved the flowers and the sculptures!
You can see the water from the living room and the yard.
Bathrooms are clean and amply supplied with towels and toiletries.
We did not use the spa, but it looked great.
The breakfast is very good too - fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt, and some baked item - we had a great quiche - right off the oven!
We were surprised to find that there was always some home made goodies every night on the dresser.
But what makes the place great is not just value or location or the cute rooms.
The owners really made us feel at home - as if we were staying with friends and relatives - e.g., sharing their stories of Seward and smoked salmon in front of the cozy fireplace.
Lori never went back on her word on anything - everything was according to plan yet with the comfort of home away from home.
Yes, a definite recommendation!
