“Fantastic Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2013

Took the National Park Tour in September 2013. The seas were forecast to be 20 feet that day and they were kind enough to tell us we could get a refund, but we went anyhow. They were not sure if we'd make it out to the glaciers. So glad we went. It was a beautiful sunny day and the captain did an awesome job keeping us in areas that were calm. Once around the point toward the glaciers it was like glass. The Glacier was incredible. He stopped and we listened to it move and saw it calve about 5 or 6 times. Capt. gave us great info on all the sights, history, etc. The Speaker System for outside was almost impossible to hear and could use some improvement, but if you stood under it you could understand most of it. This is really the only great way to see the bay and what Seward is really like outside of town. All their tours are good.

“A true Alaskan Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

We took the 6-hour tour through the Kenai Fjords. We were very excited to be in Alaska and spent most of our time in the Kenai Peninsula. But this was the ultimate experience. We had our 10 & 12 year old daughters with us and we all immensely enjoyed it. We stayed out on the deck the entire trip out to the glacier, which was several hours, but it was a mild day and loved the wind at our face and seeing all the spectacular wildlife and scenery.
We had Captain Dan and he was an excellent guide. His dry humor mixed with detailed information was much appreciated.
Watching the sea lions basking in the sun, the puffins floating in the water, watching for whales and their sprays, and finally getting close enough to a mom and baby whale to see them crest and eventually show us their tales, was amazing. Plus, getting up close and personal to a glacier and watching it calf into the ocean several times and hearing the thunderous noises was awesome.
They provided a simple lunch of a wrap, carrots, chips and at the end they brought out fresh baked cookies! We did fall asleep on the ride back! Only for about a 1/2 hour or so. All that fresh air and the lulling rocking of the boat finally got to us. :)
If there was one thing to spend your money on while in Alaska, I'd say this is it!

“Thrilling Adventure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2013

This 6 hour tour was packed with sights and sounds unique to Alaska. The high-light, of course, were the whales and other marine life, including a school of dolphin playing at the bow of the boat! We got up close and personal to the Glacier and were able to watch it calving several times, It sounds like thunder when the ice breaks loose. Lunch was prepared on board and was very good. Dessert followed about an hour later, and again, was delicious. You can sit either on the main deck or up top, and are free to go out to the bow as long as a member of the crew is outside. The Captain will maneuver the boat around to give everyone on board a birds-eye view. Great tour, don't miss it!

“Kenai Fjords National Park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

A 6 hour boat ride brings you to the park. It is a real beauty! Tons of animals, lovely geography. A very nice boat, food, bathrooms. There are a few boats that leave Seward to explore the park(you will see more on a boat than the small part a car can reach.) Seward is a pretty town, and a good jumping off place.

“Absolutely tremendous”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

We took the Northwestern Fjords tour through Kenai Fjords Tours, which goes deeper into the park than the other tours, and it really was one of the highlights of our Alaskan vacation. The scenery all the way from Resurrection Bay out to Northwestern and then Chiswell Islands was spectacular. Because this is the farthest that any of the tours go, we were almost always the only boat in the area. At one point near the Chiswell Islands, we had abuot 12-15 humpback whales around us, and the captain said "When's the last time you were some place where there were more whales than boats?"

We saw puffins, seals, sea lions, Dall porpoises, bald eagles. About the only thing missing were the killer whales which apparently just were not in the area at that time.

The glaciers were just massive, and we loved listening to the sound of their movement (sounds like thunder). We loved seeing all the glacial ice in the water, and how the seals lay on the chunks to rest.

Just a great and enjoyable tour.
