Restaurant Sorgo is located in the picturesque, main street of the old town of Ston. We went there to eat oysters, lured by a menu placed outside of the restaurant, with very attractive prices. Our first suprise was that the actual price for oysters was 50% higher vs. what was stated outside. The waiter explained that the price has changed and they haven't managed to exchange the outside menu. OK - this can happen to anyone. Then came the soup for a starter, which was made of powder and tasted horrible. The main course was not bad, but not great either. Another surprise came with the bill - even though we were 7 people, all having starters and second courses and spending quite a lot of many on our dinner, we were charged for the lemon we asked for the water (!!!) and for the starters (bread, fish pate, sardins), which are usually charged for in Croatia, but this charge was over double vs. other restaurants, with no earlier info from the waiter. Before eating and going through this unpleasant experience, we decided to also stay at an appartment above the restaurant, and it appeared we were also overcharged vs. list price we haven't checked, and on top of that, the owner was going through our rooms in the morning when we left for breakfast. To sum up - the food was overall OK, but the experience was disgusting - avoid this place if you only may.
