“Wonderful Anniversary Celebration”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

We celebrated our first anniversary by attending the Island Breeze Luau and had a wonderful time. There were things to do and experience that we could take away as rememberances. The food was delicious with a great variety. Some local menu items and some that were familiar. All were wonderful and more than enough to eat. The entertainment was very good. It gave a variety of dances from the various islands. We had a wonderful evening with great memories and a few momentos to remind us of our time.

“Fun, Fun, Fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

This was highlight of our stay in Kona. From the first greeting to the final dance, we enjoyed ourselves so much. We were seated at a table with a young couple with a baby who was able to be in his stroller most of the time. I could tell they had a good time too! The fun before dinner activities that had us laughing at ourselves and each other. The beautiful costuming and dancing of the entertainers...with such variety of dance that really gave us a peek into many different island cultures was amazing. The food was yummy and plentiful. The music was loud enough but not obnoxious and was flawlessly presented. Plenty of get-to-know the crowd humor from our coconut opener had our table laughing. Can't say enough how wonderful this experience was, we went away smiling!

“The best Luau on the Big Island”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

Thank you Island Breeze for a most entertaining evening. The food was plentiful, delicious and I was able to enjoy quite a bit of variety even being GF. The flow of the event was smooth and I never felt hurried or rushed. The different opportunities to participate in Island life, from making a sun fish out of palm branches, learning how to hula to watching that roasted pig come up out of the pit were very authentic to the Big Island and captured my attention.
Thank you for the best evening I've had on the island.

“Special Night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

My wife and I were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary in Hawaii with her mother and step father who were also celebrating 40 years of marriage. The concierge at our resort highly recommended this luau as one of the best on the Big Island. Both my wife and her mother were in wheelchairs and the staff went out of their way to make accomodations for us. The setting on a historical beach was lovely and the entry of the royal court with welcoming hula was fabulous. The musicians were excellent throughout the night and the dancers were excited and beautiful. We all appreciated the modest, but authentic costumes rather than the more glitzy approach taken at other luaus; it was a family friendly experience. The food and drinks were tasty and there was plenty to be had. As the sun went down and the entertainment continued, we were enchanted by the dances of the different cultures. We appreciated the recognition of marriages and opportunity to dance with our spouses as well. One of the songs used was a Christian song, but with Hawaiian words which caught our attention. I bought the CD's and DVD that were available and have thoroughly enjoyed listening to them all. I highly recomend Island Breeze for their stand for the Hawaiian culture and morals. Thank you for a wonderful anniversary treat!

“Great show with activities”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

This was our second Big Island luau, and it was the better luau by far! Before the luau began, we were given free shell leis, they had an open bar (drinks not the best), and they had quite a few family friendly activities. They had hula lessons, tattoos, and grass braiding to mention a few.
The setting was great, right by the water. Even though we were sitting in the back, we still had a great view of the stage.

Dinner was tasty and the entertainment was great! There was one guy from Samoa who had a dry comedy routine which had our table cracking up all night! All of the dancers were very talented, and engaging. Add to all of that, this luau was less expensive than the others- amazing.

Last tip, they will give a discount if you are a Marriott Rewards member, but bring your card!
A great evening with the family!
