“Enjoyed our stay at Keauhou Kona Surf & Racquet club”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014

We had a very nice stay in a ground floor 2bdr, 2bath unit at the Keauhou Kona Surf and Racquet club resort. Great location near shopping and restaurants. Close walk to a nice snorkeling beach. The condo was clean and well appointed. It had all the important amenities and a well appointed kitchen. We were very comfortable and pleased with the condo. It was easy to access, the reservation process was easy.

Tranquil location on a small cove with a black sand beach, turtles, manta rays, spear fisherman, and an endless parade of sailing and outrigger canoes and paddle boarders. Beautifully landscaped grounds overflowing with flowers, property includes a couple of ancient Hawaiian archaeological sites. Ocean-front views of Kona as well as the Ke’eku and Kapuanoni Heiaus next door. Unit #104 does not have any curtains on the windows in the bedroom (upstairs) or 1st floor bathroom so privacy is an issue, despite what the website states it does not have a VCR or icemaker, and the mattress is rock-hard. But you simply can not beat the ocean-front location of this unit.

Room Tip: Ocean-front is a must, and note that some units have been rewired and upgraded to accommodate air co...

We stayed here for a week and loved both the surf and racket club and particularly this condo. It was amazing to wake every day to the sound of the ocean and watch dolphins in the bay during breakfast. The condo has everything you need and is very well kept and super comfortable. We loved being on the top floor for the views, the added privacy and the wonderful ocean breeze!! The owner, Bruce, was great at checking that we had everything for our stay and quick to respond to any queries both before our stay and during.

As for the club, it is just far enough away from the main strip to give peace and quite but close to everything. The pool is great and we walked daily to the close by snorkleing bay to swim with turtles. It was a great place to base ourselves to explore the Big Island.

I would recommend this particular unit to anyone.

Room Tip: I would select the condos over the town houses at the Surf and Raquet clud as the town houses seem a...

I usually try to find something about the place that "could be improved," but I'm having a hard time with this one. It truly felt like home. it had all the conveniences - location (close to golf course and beaches), well-stocked (kitchen, living, and beach fun) amenities, and very clean. I do wish it had air conditioning as it did get pretty hot and stuffy, especially the master bedroom. but the fans really did help. I would definitely recommend and most likely return.

Wonderful oceanfront condo with everything we needed for a fun, active, and restful stay. Aloha Condos did a great job to ensure that our arrival, stay, and departure were all done with ease. Convenient to the KTA grocery store and other necessities, which are just up the hill. Overall club and this particular unit clean and well maintained. Tennis courts exceptional. View perfect. The condo itself was well appointed; the master bedroom was immediately off the lanai, making it perfect for being lulled to sleep by the ocean waves, but the mattress could be changed out for a more uniform, firm one. All in all, it was a perfect oceanfront location, making for a nice week-long stay to celebrate our twentieth anniversary.

We enjoyed staying at #178 because of the quiet location and sitting on the lanai watching the boats and dolphins go by! It had all the amenities we needed, big enough for the 2 couples and the lovely big pool was very refreshing. We started the day snorkeling with the sea turtles and a multitude of tropical fish at the beach 10 minute walk away. Marvelous! The shopping mall was an easy drive and we were glad we were not in the main town area of Kailua Kona.

These condos are very centrally located for fun on the Western side of the BigIsland. We loved the nearby beaches, snorkeling with SeaQuest and dining at Bubba Gumps. We stayed in Unit # I -203 which very nicely furnished and stocked. The fans provided plenty of cool air at night. The ocean view on the lanai was perfect and the sunset superb. It is within reasonable distance to the downtown area, coffee plantations and open air marketplaces as well as Target and Walmart.

Room Tip: The second floor is better because feral cats and bugs will not wander on the lanai.Choose the ocean...
