Went for dinner. Fantastic ahi sashimi, eel/cucumber roll. and tempura with cold soba noodles. Seaweed salad was just green salad with some seaweed on top (we thought it would be all seaweed). House Sake inexpensive (Sho Shiku Bi) was not very good so we splurged and bought a 300ml bottle for $27 which was excellent. We sat at one of the table where you take off your shoes and put your feet in a pit under the table (I forget the name of these tatami room type tables). Wanted to get Shabu-Shabu but for $50+ I needed another family member to share it with me.... Was not very crowded for a friday night at 7:45PM. It is tucked away in the shopping center. Other places seemed to be crowded that were right on Alii Dr. Bubba Gump was busy with tourists and another place was busy with music and serving drinks. We were just looking for good Japanese food without tourists and happy hour crowd. Yokohama hit the mark for us.
