“Love the Ambience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2013

They have just moved from Kainaliu by the Aloha Theater to Downtown Kailua-Kona at the base of Old Industrial. They are still working out the kinks, it is a bit dark outside, but well worth sitting there, and the indoor decor is warm and cozy! They are attentive and want you to have a positive experience. I had the fresh catch MahiMahi with pasta and veggies and it was delicious!

“Very good food, great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2013

We were greeted promptly and seated outside. Other than being a little dark, the setting was great. The waitress offered us a flashlight with our menus and the dark problem was solved. The food was excellent, the waitstaff friendly and attentive. There was a slightly off-putting smell from the candles, but it wasn't overwhelming.
I had the pork parm and it was fabulous. They don't have an extensive wine list, but it was a nice selection.
I will make this one of our regular dinner stops!
By the way, this restaurant has moved to the old industrial area in Kona. The driveway is on Kaiwi Street, but the restaurant faces Kuakini Highway. It is set far back from the road so there is no road noise to speak of.

“Italian at its best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2013

I loved the red sauce and my pasta was cooked perfectly. It was a nice atmosphere and the waitress was very sweet. The owner was a gracious host and seemed to enjoy meeting his patrons. I think that its one of the nicest restaurants on the Big Island that has good food, good prices and a genuinely nice staff. Its easy to find also. Right next to Aloha theatre.

“They have a cat that roams inside the restaurant.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

We should have left from the moment we got there as the first thing we saw was a cat walking out the front door. We stood at the front door for a few minutes before anyone noticed us. We sat down at the table and as soon as we did, we were swarmed by flies. IT was very loud in there with all the traffic driving by. They should have the front doors closed for the reason of the noise and the flies. The food was not that great, chicken was dry and way too salty. My whole point of this review is they HAVE A CAT THAT ROAMS THE RESTAURANT! I love cats, i have 2 of my own but they DO NOT belong in a restaurant. It approached me a couple of times, wanting to play and i had to push it away. We were told its the owners. I am completely shocked they would even think of having a cat in a food establishment. The service was also slow, as the server took a few times to get our order right and we were just ordering off the menu.

“Great food, great service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013

We went to this place for dinner once while visiting the island. It was a 15-minute drive from our resort on Ali'i Drive, and we're happy that we went there. I had the ono with capers and a white cream sauce, which came with some spaghetti in a tomato-based sauce. At first I was not so sure how the two items with so different sauces would complement each other, but they actually went together quite well. The Prosecco was pretty good quality as well. Although not on their menu, they make a nice pasta dish for kids (spaghetti or rigatoni - your choice, with a tomato-based sauce or butter or olive oil, and with optional homemade meatballs), and it's only $6. The service was great - the lady was attentive and funny, and even asked us how big of a fridge we had at our hotel so that she could use the right-sized boxes while packing our leftovers!
