We stayed at Casa de Emdeko from Feb 8th until April 7th, 2008

What a wonderful time we had in Kona. We could not have asked for better accommodations. The condo itself is a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom (just beautifully renovated) unit. It is Unit # 301.

It was very clean, and very well equipped. The bathroom has just been renovated (double sink and vanity and big shower) and has a door from the bedroom (California King bed) and a door from the hallway. The kitchen is bright and well equipped with all new appliances. (Fridge, Stove and dishwasher) The unit has a washer and dryer. As it is a corner Unit (situated above the lovely and quiet foyer of the complex) the lanai has a great view of the gardens and the ocean beyond. You also have a view of the mountains beyond Alii Drive

The complex itself is extremely well kept with beautiful gardens, a great cabana with kitchen facilities and 3 gas BBQ's. People gather in the evenings for drinks and to BBQ (we never had to wait for a BBQ) and to socialize and watch the sunsets.

There are 2 swimming pools; a fresh water pool half way through the complex gardens and a salt water pool right on the Ocean (our favourite)

The manager and staff are very friendly and very obliging.

We love staying in this unit. It is our 3rd year in a row in the unit and we've never had any problems at all. It is a beautifully decorated unit with very comfortable furniture and nice artwork. It has a very well stocked kitchen and they always have a nice supply of seasonings to cook with which is nice for barbequing at the condos. The location is perfect on the ground floor with a back door that leads directly out to the beach and pools as well as the cabana where we go each evening to watch the sunset. You can't go wrong with this unit. Lots of linens, hangers in the closet and towels. It always smells clean and feels cozy. We booked it through Kona Coast Vacations at www.konacoastvacations.com .

We booked #321 through Kona Coast Vacations, and it was wonderful. Easy check in (the keys are in a lock box, no going to a front desk). Conveniently located right on Alii Drive in Kona, close to restaurants, shops, great beaches for snorkeling.

The condo was perfect and recently remodeled. Even the sofa bed was comfortable! Comes with washer and dryer, beach towels, fully equipped kitchen. The third floor was very quiet and overlooked the courtyard. The saltwater pool is great.

The condo does not have maid service, so you have to do more cleaning at the end of the stay than you would at a hotel, but considering the cheap price it's worth it.

Highly recommended as a base for a trip to Kona!

We just returned from a week stay at the Casa De Emeko. You definately get your bang for your buck here. The location is fabulous and the view from this place is remarkable. It happens to be whale season right now, so there is something to be said for having your morning coffee and breakfast on your lanai and being able to see these awesome creatures. Even if its not whale season the ocean and sunsets are beautiful to watch. However you can always watch the sunset from the private little sandy beach they have here complete with BBQ's. The building itself is not very modern it definately is an older building and the unit we stayed in #229 didn't have top notch appliances, but the value was great !! The grounds were kept nice and everyone was very nice. They also have complimentary coffee in the morning under the cabana by the BBQ's on the little sandy beach. I would definately recomend these condos, especially if you are on a tight budget. The rates are great and the location is desireable.
