After an afternoon snorkel trip with Fair Winds, we were referred to Bongo Ben's and we are so glad we went! We have been on the island for 2 weeks, both Hilo side and Kona, and this was the best food at the most affordable price for our family of 7.
We sat outside and enjoyed live Hawaiian music, a beautiful sunset and wonderful food and service. The owners are so nice!
Very good appetizer to start with was the seafood platter... Coconut shrimp, calamari, boiled shrimp, beer battered fish, ceviche and homemade tortilla chips. Yum!
The seafood linguini, spinach and berry salad with ahi, the calamari steak were all favorites, too.
We would have returned again if it hadn't been our last night on that side of island.
