“Nice holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2012

We spent 7 nights in this hotel and we can recommended it to families with children. Hotel is situated close to the nice pebbly beach and the hotel was newly refurbished. The hotel reception was clean. The staff there was nice and helpfull. We had a standard room looking to the "park". First we saw the view, we were disappointed, because it was overlooking the roof and aircondition of restaurant, so we thought, it will be very noisy during the day and night and it will smell. But it was good, when the window was closed we did not hear anything and we did not spent too much time in the balcony (but it was not so bad as we thought). The room itself was clean and new refurbished, I missed the flat screen TV (with flat TV rooms look much better). Minibar as usual overpriced. Bathroom with shower was very small, but clean. Every day the room was cleaned and we got new towels.
Restaurant was big enough, the choice of different dishes was wide, even though the quality of food was standard (I would say lower). They do not know, how to prepare good fish! Cooked vegetables weren't to eat. But afterall, you could find some good meals and you could eat enough. There was also a wide choice of fresh vegeteble and fruit. Icecream included during lunch and dinner. I did not like their deserts at all.The breakfast was all the time the same, but it was not disturbing us.Only the coffee for breakfast was terrible.
The surrounding of lobby and terrasse was nice, the staff very friendly (spoke EN,DE,IT).
The wellnesscentre very nice, smaller and you can not entre with children (but I understand it, it should be a quiet zone). The inside pool with salt watter was nice, only the surrounding could be better managed.
The beach is very close the the hotel, very busy in high season, but the see very clean! We loved it.You can also rent a beach deckchair and parasols.
At the hotel is a nice playground for children and "playhouse", everyday with some programme for childrens (incl. icecream party). The only one reproof: they close the playground at 6pm (it is too early, beacause in the evening time the sunshine is lower so you already can spent some time there, during the day it is too hot there).
I would recommed to the hotel to manage better the surrounding of the hotel, there are some hotel shops with dirty windows etc.
We spent a great holiday there and we can recommed this hotel to everybody, especially for families with children.

Room Tip: rooms on the park side are with balcony and quieter. rooms overlooking the courtyard are without bal...

First a word about moscenicka draga - this is a quiet, very small resort not for those who want a lively nightlife and an active beach scene. The beach is pebbly and clean and most of all quiet even in the height of the season as there is no road nearby. Though the hotel does not have a private beach it is less than thirty seconds from door to beach. The only downside of this is that you have to pay for loungers and umbrellas at a cost of about 7 euros per person per day.

The hotel is modern and clean. From the look of the room it appeared to have been freshly painted and furnished. We stayed for 4 days in a comfort room. This was spacious and pleasant. The bathroom was somewhat small and could have done with a shelf or a cupboard. The standard rooms looked similar but were very small and I would recommend a comfort room to anyone staying for longer than a weekend. I was disappointed with the view (over the roof and the heating system) but from the position of the hotel I don't think many of the rooms had a great view. Breakfast was good though not exceptional.

The hotel has a large indoor pool which we didn't use as the sea was warm and a wellness centre which I did.

A few very minor critiscisms. There was a feeling of penny pinching about the hotel, you had to pay for the room safe for example and there was a notice warning you that the room fridge was for hotel drinks only (for families on a long holiday this can add considerably to the cost) also toiletries were minimal and there were none of the little, maybe unneccesary touches that one comes to expect such as slippers or a shaving mirror and in the wellness centre you were offered a glass of water after your massage rather than the more usual juice or herbal tea. Very small things it is true but those that make a stay more pleasant. More importantly the air conditioning, though effective, was rather noisy.

Parking was secure and you were given a card to enable you to go in and out with ease. It costs less that one and a half euros a day.

I would go to this hotel again.

I think this was the first time that we booked the same hotel for the second time. And we really enjoyed it, again :)
We booked the room without a balcony and with a garden view... The room was very small, so I decided to ask if there is a possibility to get another, little bit bigger room, for the same price - and the chief receptionist agreed. So another receptionist showed us second room, gave us a minute to decide and without any problems - we were in a more comfortable room for the same price! I must mention that we came in the hotel around 1p.m.
Food, staff, roomservice - without any complaints... This time we weren't visiting pool area or wellness center, but we enjoyed on the beach - all day! We rented beach umbrella and 2 deck-chairs on the beach... around 12€/day.
M. Draga is a bit dislocated tourist village, if you need summer parties, but for us - it was the perfect place to enjoy the sun & sea for 2 days.
...and I think we will go there - again :)
