I booked the hotel via Expedia and in my eyes it completelly fulfilled the rating in accordance with Tripadvisor. Very good hotel with perfect service, very clean. Room was nice, big LCD TV, we had a see view room, however one could objected that you have to have a "long" look, which also were blocked by a bid tree just before the hotel (see attached picture). The biggest problem for us was the aircondition, which started automatically by closing the balcony door. We were not able to hold it off. The max posible temperature could only be set on 23°C, what was very cold for us. Only way was to let open the balcony door, however the room mades still closed it and so it started to run. When we came, it was still cold there and so I also finally got cold.
The hotel was full, hovewer there were still enough places at pool as well at beakfast or dinner, The kitchin was very good with wide varietty of food, inclusive eis, fruits or vine and beer.
We used the fitnesscenter, which was very clean and well equipped.
This hotel I would realy like to recommend everyone.

Reading the reviews, viewing the pictures before we left for this hotel was slightly confusing as to what we were going to as the upgrade begins early next year to an all inclusive / couples. Well we were there last week and it was great. Recommend you have a sea view room, well worth the extra as any room on the park / sea side has a great view to the bay. There is another hotel well off to the left which does not hide the view of the bay or park. The staff / team were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble.
Towels changed every day and sheets changed twice during the week. Rooms had been upgraded (301 - 314) and were lovely, modern and clean although short on a little storage space. Bathrooms only had showers but these were big, modern,roomy and spotless.
Beach directly below the hotel was a little pebbly but walk along a few yards to the right and there is a fairly long strip of sand which is blue flag. Take a water taxi to one of the islands for a change. The harbour (10 mins) is great with lots of bars etc and little gift shops .... lovely icecream to be had there, and the place again is spotless with loads of seats to chill.
Pool area was scrubbed every day at 7 o'clock and sunbed covers washed down. This took around 2-3 hours so completed as soon as breakfast was finished.
Food was the only small negative point ..... Please invent some nice and different puddings as the same type of little cake everyday was very boring. A choice of hot pudding would be nice.The Germans may not like custard but the English do. English people were the minority.
Loved the way the chef's served the main course to you and were very helpfull trying to explain what the food was. There were labels in German and Italian but not always in English. The food was very good in general and enjoyable, although geared towards the Germans.
The evenings were buzzing with just a short walk to the harbour bars.
Lovely and quiet and very relaxing hotel. Not for the under 30's.

The location is great (except for the the other big building between the hotel and the sea) but everything is old fashioned. Rooms were like you see in the picture...maybe 20 years ago...The breakfast is not as goog as it should be in a 4 stars hotel...don't try the juices! A renovation will add a great value...The staff is professional. Sea (or swimming pool) view rooms let you hear the noise of the small waterfalls in the swimmingpool for the whole night.

We booked this hotel as part of a package holiday. It offered excellent value for money. Lovely dining room, never had to wait for a table. Good choice of food and very friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. We booked a second room for our 17 year old daughter which only cost about £30 extra, I was glad we did as a third bed in the room would have made it quite cramped. I would say that the price of drinks was slightly less than you would pay in England. There isn't that much in the area of Medulin itself so I wouldn't recommend staying for more than a week. On the down side if the residents next to you sit on their balcony you can hear every word they say even with the door shut, it was like they were in the room with you!
