We visited Hum after 8 days cycling around Istria, so we were familiar with the region and its attractions.
I realize that Hum has been cleverly marketed as being the world's smallest town. But after having seen many, many other similar towns in Istria, I don't see what the fuss is about.
Hum is a picturesque little stone-walled town with an old church (locked) and tower (locked). There are a number of tourist- themed shops.
When we arrived, there were already 4 huge tour buses and about 20 cars jamming the little parking lot outside the town. Needless to say, the streets were full of tourists.
There many other equally attractive, old, historic towns in Istria, without the tourists and without the souvenir shops.
I would not go out of my way to visit Hum, although if you are driving in the area, it is a pleasant enough place to visit.
