“Nice choice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2010

We recently stayed at this hotel and were very pleased with the accommodations and rate. We called last minute and were given a very good rate which included a full breakfast including home made waffles. The room and beds were comfortable. We had absolutely no complaints during our stay. A comfortable bed, clean room, great rate and courtesy staff what more could you not want?

5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2009

Upon check in we were immediatly greeted by two very friendly young ladies behind the counter. Later, while eating at a restaurant in town, I saw an ad that said the Best Western has the friendliest hotel staff in town. I didn't go to every hotel however, I do believe that it's quite possible and besides being friendly, they also give their undevided attention.

They immediatly told me that my standard room had been upgraded to a pool side suite as a courtesy (free of charge) due to my membership in the Gold Crown Club. She then placed a little card up on the counter (hand written with my name on it, prior to our arrival) along with a couple bottles of water and a couple of cookies wrapped up.

They then helped us with a map of the local restaurants, a map of Joshua Tree National Park and gave us their personal opinions and views of some of the restaurants. Just very friendly and very genuine. It was refreshing.

Free internet and parking near the rooms. The suite just outside the pool and hot tub helped, too! The pools is heated but not warm enough to get us in it on a 50F night. However, we did use the hot tub and it and the pool are clean, neat and orderly.

I'd stay here again if I were in the area and I'd recommend it to others. Great bargain for the price.

We stayed at the BW Garden Inn and Suites for 1 night in May 2009.

It's a 100% smoke free establishment, which appealed to us as non-smokers.

This BW is a bit dated but clean and functional. The rate includes a hot breakfast, which starts nice and early (think it was 5:30).

Receptionist recommended the Rib Co for dinner; they give BW customers a 10% discount. Don't get put of by the look of the place, as the ribs were fantastic!

the check in guy at night was great, the girls in the morning sucked, and the guy tonight sucked. they couldn't give me a straight answer and tonight was told i cant keep my room for another 2nights for when my boyfriend gets back from iraq. i had driven 14hrs on 4 hrs of sleep and was looking forward to sleeping in but to no avail you can hear everyone going about their morning business. but were fussy about me staying up late. they told me breakfast was over at 10am apparently it went till 11am so i didn't get breakfast because i thought i was too late. had a cockroach scurry past my feet up by the pool. scared me! but the rooms are very clean because it is a new hotel. and internet service! i didn't swim in the pool but the shady spot had misters which i thought was pretty cool.

Cheaply made building with very thin walls. I could hear coughing and conversations from all my neighbors. There are far better accommodations just down the road for less money (Circle C, Sunnyvale Lodge), or realistically priced dives (Motel 6). I would not stay here or any Best Western again because of this hotel.

This was a very comfortable motel with a good shower and clean room. It was a little noisy, being close to the main road, and some of the other guests were a bit boisterous, but no real problem. The continental breakfast was very good, and served the best scrambled eggs I have ever eaten in America; the member of staff there took an obvious pride in her work and kept the dining area spotlessly clean.
