“Excellent Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

We stayed at the Hotel Arlberg for 1 week from the 1st February 2013. The staff were very helpful from the minute we booked to even after we departed. We had a superior room which had plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 children with a fridge. Everywhere was extremely clean. The food was excellent even to the point where the children could request a different meal if they did not like the set menu. Plenty of choice at meal times. We were given a set table to eat our breakfast and evening meal and we had the same waiter for the duration of our stay who was fantastic (thank you Joe). The Hotel is situated close to the lift and can be walked to in just a few minutes. The children loved the swimming pool which was also clean. Towels are provided in the spa/swim area. We found every member of staff to be pleasant and willing to help. The hotel isvery warm so I would suggest taking lighter clothes to wear in the dining room. My daughter left her mobile phone on the train on the way back and the hotel kindly contacted the train company for us. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

We spent a week in StAnton skiing staying at the Arlberg. The Hotel if fairly central about a five minute walk to the Nasserein gondola, 10 minutes to the town centre and the other main lifts. We arrived late on Saturday evening the reception service was excellent & the restaurant was ready for us. Overall the food was very good but not outstanding there was plenty of it & the buffet was always well stocked. Service was always excellent the waiters and waitresses do a grand job. Breakfast was also very good continental buffet style with hot eggs, bacon, and wurst! The room was clean there was plenty of space for the ski gear, bathroom very nice, good powerful shower with plenty of room for tall folks. The bed was firm I liked it but there were murmurs of complaint from my girlfriend. Our room faced the Rendl side of the mountain the view was limited but not unpleasant there was no problem with noise at any time we were on the 2nd floor. Skiing is well catered for the boot room is warm with ample space. The hotel provides a bus to the Rendl lift every morning more or less whenever you ask which was very much appreciated. Getting back is easy enough on the ski buses from the town centre. They have a pool which we never tried, it seemed popular enough. The wellness area is very good clean saunas & plenty of towels, guests wearing outdoor shoes was slightly annoying, the hotel did ask people not too but there's no accounting for some folks. One improvement for the wellness area would be for the hotel to provide drinking water and cups in there as you can be thirsty coming out of the sauna. As is normal in Austria you are expected to be dressed only in a towel in the wellness area, no big deal.

Overall I would happily recommend the Hotel Arlberg and stay there again. That said given the choice if we returned to this ski area, (which is a great area!), we would probably stay in Stuben, StChristoph or Lech as StAnton can be party town so expect groups of lads tanked up & corporate jollys!

Room Tip: If you want the best mountain view ask for a room at the front of the hotel

Stayed at the Arlberg for a week's ski trip. Near to the Nassereinbahn lift and about 10 minute walk to the the Galzig at the other end of town. Booked at larger room with lounge area and balcony - very comfortable. Lovely and quiet. Service and food was very good and friendly. Particularly liked the spa and huge jacuzzi. A wonderful hotel. Would have stayed again this year but was fully booked.

Room Tip: The Arlberg is at the quiet end of St Anton so street noise should be less of a problem. We had a ro...

Stayed 1 week Jan.19th to 26th. All the staff were friendly and helpful at all the times. Food was good. Buffet breakfast, nice dinner with buffet salad bar and then 3 more courses. Rooms clean and done up quickly in the mornings. Good location in town. Highly recommend.

Room Tip: Take a higher floor. My brother-in law had a bigger room on the first floor and heard some noise at...

I would say the hotel is good, location is good in the long mainstreet, not directly to the lift, +/- 400 meters. In general the hotel offers what it says. I do not like to be negative, but here are some comments, the food could be better, the reception and service is very nice, the pool a little bit small if 60peoples want to go there. The lightning in the rooms is not sufficient. The rooms sizes are very good, we had a superieur room. Parking at the hotel. No drinks in the mini bar.

We booked a package deal with Inghams for 7 nights at this wonderful hotel the week before Christmas.
Reception staff were at all times courtesy and efficient. In that nothing was too much trouble to resolve for any of us. excellent!
Our rooms - two double and a single- were warm, clean and fully equipped for our two teenage daughters [19 and 18 plus one] and our selves [aged 50 and 48].
The rooms had plenty of space for ski clothing, luggage and storage for clothes. Shower/baths with endless supply of hot water, complimentary bubble bath etc - essential after a hard day on the pistes.
At the extreme of town was not a problem as you avoided the rowdier elements of accommodation closer to the noisy bars etc and the walk to the lift [gondolier] was only 500 meters or 5 minutes. It was also where the bus terminal was too so for trips to Lech and Sennikoff etc - it was convenient.
The hotel was adequately four star in that there was a pool, Jacuzzi, loungers, shower room, changing room lockers, sauna [for a small charge] and loads of towels and complimentary bath robes etc to make your enjoyment all the more as you'd would reasonably expect.
Ground floor ski room that was always warm and dry.
The food [5 courses] every night bar one and that was a buffet was brilliant. You had to pay for coffee at night but breakfast buffet was endless. Buffet breakfast included bacon, eggs, sausage, etc so it catered for English tastes as well as the Continental ones too.
Christine was the bar maid and made everyone feel welcome- attentive to service and knowledgeable when it came to cocktails etc.
The upholstery and ambiance was all I expect from Austria - precise, quality and immaculate. We would recommend it on every level but have suggested tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms and to NOT charge for coffee with the evening meals.

Room Tip: We were on the second floor with views to the back - so if you want views suggest you get rooms on h...

Had. Great week here just before Christmas.nhotel is well positioned for the NAsserein lift and a Short walk into town.
Room was spacious and comfortable and serviced efficiently and promptly each morning.
Lovely buffet breakfast in deceptively large dining room.
We took advantage of the spa: attention Englanders, clothing is verboten.
Dinners were 5 courses and served each night from 7.
A good mix of guests, not all Brits
Good value too!
All in all we would go there again.

Room Tip: Corner superior rooms are quite a bit bigger and the ones at the front of the hotel best of all
