“definitely would go back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2012

Modern, beautiful hotel in a good location, just 7 minutes walk to the town centre and ski lifts. For guests convenience hotel has a shuttle service. Large variety of buffet breakfast with proper coffee (espresso, cappuccino, etc) and superb 5 course dinner. Food was so delicious and presented so nicely, I could not skip any course :) Very impressive table set up for dinner.
We had a big modern room with every facility including very comfortable bed and soft pillows, and wonderful view!
Staff is very attentive, helpful, friendly and always happy, so are the owners of the hotel Alexander and Sabine. I have to say, I have never met such a down to Earth and friendly people, with a good sense of humor.
Thanks to the owners of the hotel and their friendly staff we had an amazing Xmas holiday in St. Anton.

Alex and Sabine were the perfect hosts in their wonderful establishment. From the moment you enter the door, they and their attentive and friendly staff make you feel right at home. We did half board which was delicious and never repetitive. The rooms are nicely appointed in a contemporary fashion with spectacular views. The ski lockers at the base of the lifts are extremely convenient. Any request for a driver or restaurant suggestion was quickly provided for and they were also able to arrange for the best mountain guide in St. Anton. Due to airline delays they were also flexible and accommodating a last minute schedule change. Sabine and Alex provide for a memorable ski vacation.

What a wonderful, modern, affectionate and familial warm Hotel. We are enthusiastic. The employees are always smiling and helping where they can and also with some extra wishes! Alexander and Sabine, the owners having always good tips for activities if you do not want to go skiing during the day! The shuttle service, done by Dogan, is perfect. Dogang explains where to rent the skies where the ski depots are.
The breakfast is perfect and we could make different variation during our visit. The dinner is fabulous. You do not get a dry ‘Wiener Schnitzel’ made without some love. You can decide between different starters, main and desserts and on top of it you have a big salad and chees buffet. Yammi.
The room was nice. After a long day skiing we could enjoy a bath with a fantastic view to the Rendl side.
Thank you: Alex, Sabin, Monica, Tanja, Katie, Dogan and all the others.

What a find - a super stylish hotel with friendly staff (most unusual !). Just had a great week at the Lux Alpinae, big comfortable room overlooking the piste, excellent food and a nice spa area to relax after a hard days skiing. All staff warm, friendly and helpful. Lift to centre of St Anton any time wanted, ski equipment stored in shop next to lifts at no charge. Only slight problem was traffic noise from road in front of hotel but suppose nowhere is perfect!

Room Tip: all rooms on same side of hotel

The Good:
Large spacious rooms
Food is great - very fresh although some Austrian dishes would have been nice.
Modern architecture
Friendly staff
Nice sauna and steam bath

The Bad:
Quite a walk from the centre along a busy road and up a hill
For a lux hotel some fixtures and furnishings looking tired
The climbing wall has seen better days
No radiators to dry wet ski clothes
Lounge for relaxing is only big enough for 6-8 people
The spa is a bit of an afterthought stuck next to the laundry room

The ugly:
Lot of naked people in the sauna!

Room Tip: Avoid rooms on the first floor.

We stayed here for a long weekend and my first time in St. Anton. The hotel was absolutely perfect. The staff were helpful and accommodating. The food was excellent and there was a variety of choices at each meal. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and we loved relaxing in the sauna and steam room. Friends who stayed at another hotel nearby came to visit and were also impressed with this hotel, especially compared to where they stayed. We will definitely be returning to St. Anton and I am confident that there is no other place we would stay.
