Simply the best and most friendly hotel in the St.Anton & good location!
I have been in St. Anton 28 times since 1983. 2'nd time at this hotel and not the last!
The Schwarzer Adler hotel is value for money!

Room Tip: Value for money! Best Hotel & service in the St.Anton & best location!

We stayed at the Schwarzer Adler for the first time last year on a family and friends skiing holiday, and were so blown away by this hotel that we immediately rebooked and came again this year.

Everything about this hotel is top draw. The rooms, the location, the exquisite food, the staff, the general facilities...but more than anything it is the attention to detail and the outstanding hospitality given to all guests by the Tschol Family and their staff in ensuring that your stay is memorable and you are left wanting for nothing.

As a family and friends group (last year 5 families, this year 3 families) , between us, we have stayed in lots of top hotels and the Schwarzer Adler is now a firm favourite. It's not the flashest, the ritziest, or the blingest...there's just something about it that puts it above the rest. You need to stay to know what I mean!
It says a lot that over 90% of the guests are 'returning' patrons who book direct with the hotel. The Schwarzer Adler doesn't court the package holiday crowd (no football shirts here!). You can tell a lot about a hotel's clientel by the way the children in the hotel behave...all the children in the Schwarzer Adler were impeccably behaved and spoke very nicely!

Conveniently located on St Anton high street only 5 minutes walk from the Galzig gondala. You can store your skis at Alber Sports next to the Galzig lift.

The food is outstanding. Usual breakfast fayre for a 4/5 star hotel. Evening dinner was 5 courses and deliciousely devine (good portions as well...often couldn't eat it all). Service excellent.
Children's dinner started at 6 - 6.30pm and adults tended to dine after 7pm.

Bar is very good with two fantastic barmen (thank you Christian and Peter...your cocktails were brilliant). You can smoke at the bar...which being a smoker, I liked, as one can no longer do that in the UK. Plenty of room for non smokers in comfy seating areas around the fireplace.

Tea and cream cakes served in the afternoon between 3 - 5pm in the bar area. Hugely welcome after a day on the pistes!

The wellness area and pool is good, my two young boys loved it (seen and experienced better), though it would be nice if they installed a jaccuzzi.

St Anton skiing + Schwarzer Adler = unrivelled skiing holiday! We have already reserved our rooms for next year.

Thank you Schwarzer Team for another memorable holiday. See you all next year.

Parfitt Family.(the Snells and Parks say many thanks as well!)

Room Tip: Rooms: Instead of a large family suite, ask for two large connected double rooms 'Galzig'. Y...

each year we travel with our best friends and their children [in total we are 11] to a different ski destination, this year we chose st. Anton , I warmly recommend the Schwarzer Adler, the hotel lies in the center of town just few minutes walk to cable cars and ski school, the hotel had arranged a taxi transfer for us from Zurich airport , which was a bit pricey but very comfortable,
we had booked the Gampen rooms, which were spacious and very clean ,our rooms were on the 4th floor facing nice view , the hotel stuff is very friendly and efficient, the food is superb!, for such a large group , having a" half pension" is the best solution, the hotel had set for us a beautiful table,it was Eastern and the table decorations were amazing ,each evening they served different menu with many choices, breakfast was very good and in the afternoon the hotel serves tea, coffee and cakes,we were unlucky with the weather and it was snowing most of the week. st, Anton is beautiful but in bad weather there is not much to do, the pedestrian zone is lovely but very small few sport shops and restaurants not enough coffeehouses, on a sunny day it's worth taking a bus[ a 30 minutes drive ] to Lech a beautiful ski resort, the slopes at Ober Lech are great and just outside the Ober Lech gondola there are very nice restaurants and bars set in a magnificent mountain view . weather is always the main issue in vacations, but even in bad weather we had a marvelous time in the Schwarzer Adler hotel.

This house is run absolutely perfect. Otherwise I wouldn't com for the last 34 years. I have been many times on vacation and sometimes on a business trip. I always had a warm welcome and I am looking forward to the next stay.

If you like great service, fantastic food, a family feel, good facilities and a really nice spa, this is the place in St. Anton. We felt welcome and well taken care off. Room (we stayed in 214) was spacious, well appointed and quiet. Smoking in bar area is a problem, yet it's worse in other places. Overall we give it a 10 out of 10 and we'll plan to make the trip again.

excellent family run hotel.spacious bedroom (104) with sitting area. breakfast unbelievable choice. dinner excellent and varied 5 courses. staff friendly. 3 minute walk to the lifts and ski/boot storage provided free at intersport shop 150m from lifts. sauna and pool area excellent
only problem is that smoking is still permitted in the bar area and in all the bars in Austria so you can't blame he hotel for that. restaurant is non smoking. Highly recommended and would return there next time we go to st anton

This is a lovely hotel with great food & good service. The rooms are spacious with good storageIt is noisy if you are on the street so beware. The bar & restaurant are very comfortable & the owners welcoming. It is a 5 min walk to the ski lifts but they provide lockers up there. we have stayed at The Hotel Post before food here is better.
