We have stayed at the Hotel Sonnschein twice and are going back January 2008, we always had the older rooms 312 with fantastic views, the room was part of the old selfcatering apartments so we had a little kitchen too.
This time we have had a bargin we have had two superior rooms in the new wing for half the price we would normally pay.
I read also that there is now a ski hire shop in the hotel this will be a great benifit to us.
Gill and all the staff go out of their way to please, this is really a great hotel.
We have booked the whole area pass this time to go to the other villages to ski there.
We have done the sliegh ride and the tobogganing and can say we will do them again.
looking forward to next year see you on the slopes...........

We stayed at the Sonnschein in January, we were checked in quickly and as requested our rooms were together.
Boots and ski's are fitted at the hotel so your all set for your first day.
The Hotel is lovely, with swimming pool, sauna, steam room, etc. There is a games room, so the children can get away from the adults.
The hotel has a very warm and spacious feel.
The restaurant always had a good choice of breakfast, and evening meals.
The resort had all we needed as beginners/ intermediates
The ski school instructors were very patient, and helpful
We would definitely go back to the Sonnchien

We stayed at the hotel in March 2007 with two other friends. We both loved the hotel it had great service, great location, hotel owner English and very helpful.

We stayed on half board basis,the choice of food was excellent and good quality. (three main courses to choose from and soup and salad available every night)

The rooms are spacious and in very good condition. The hotel facilities include a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, a great way to end your day after skiing.

The town is small but very beautiful and a very relaxing place to stay.

I highly recommend the ski school, instructors are great. I was beginner and thoroughly enjoyed my class. The highlight of the week for me was on the Thursday night the ski school holds an award ceremony and it made the week worthwhile.

Would highly recommend the resort and hotel and also the cave bar on a Thursday night.

We stayed at the Sonnschein for a week in march '07. Both myself, my husband and our two children absolutely loved it, the room layout was fantastic with more room than we knew what to do with, it has plenty of facilities to keep the whole family entertained with the swimming pool, sauna etc. being perfect for that post ski relax. As you walk in, the hotel reception has a warm welcoming atmosphere and throughout our stay this feeling continues throughout the whole place. The children loved the buffet breakfast with a vast choice of different things to choose from, fueling you for a day on the slopes. You also have the added convienience of a ski hire shop being sitauted in the basement, with ski storage available at the hotel or next to the slopes.
The location was great with only a five-ten minute walk to the gondala, from every aspect you look out from the hotel the views are spectacular.
We can't wait to go back again next year!
