“one of the best family hotels in Austria”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013 via mobile

This hotel is a real gem. The food is fantastic and the hotel is so comfortable with excellent facilities.
Every dinner is 5 courses , you choose main course and their is always a fish and vegetarian choice.
Always salad buffet and soup buffet, make sure you are not on a diet !
Frau jager and her staff are amazing and cannot do more for you. Try nordic walking with Frau Jager for a great walk
And insight into Austrias culture with Frau Jagers wonderful sense of humour.
All the guests were so friendly and most have visited several times which is a reccomendation in itself.
Our first visit but definately not our last.
We had a 2 week stay and there are so many walks on the doorstep.

I recently spent a long weekend at this lovely hotel in Ischgl and can honestly say it was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in!

The shower was also fantastic and welcome after a day Go Karting. Breakfast was excellent with scrambled eggs, meats, yoghurts, fruit, bread, jam, lots of choices for tea and they serve a good morning coffee.

The owner of the hotel was friendly and welcoming as were all of the hotel staff.

Room Tip: One with a balcony would have been nice

We were in this hotel fifth time with our team of 6 persons.
The service and the food were excellent also this time.
The family hotels are the big adventage in Austria.
Ischgl is a small village with the big investments for the skiing area.
The lifts on the area are new, effective and confortable.
We were very satisfied for the service of the family Jäger team.
Reindeer Rudolf and his team is thanking for the excellent holiday in Ischgl.

Brilliant hotel, excellent location with easy access to the main lifts, village and the option to ski back in the evening. Great food with great vegetarian option. Would definitely return without hesitation!

Stayed in this hotel in early September and will return next year. Outstandingly good food with a varied choice of mains and included starter, soup, salad bar and not forgetting desert. Specials included a starter buffet, desert buffet, strudel buffet and the much discussed Tyrolean evening. So much for my diet !! Good choice of breakfast and (as we were on a package holiday) a chance to make up a packed lunch. All of the staff were unfailing friendly and helpful and the hotel spotless and well maintained, bearing in mind it was the end of the summer season. Bedrooms and common rooms were of a good standard. In a good position slightly elevated over the town but across from a church. Yes, the bells ring at 0645 every morning but by the end of the week we had gotten used to them. An excellent wellness centre is located on the ground floor. No pool but most other things you would want. Ischgl is quiet in the summer with at least half of the hotels closed. We stayed a week before the town seems to shut down to prepare for the winter season. Ischgl and the surrounding towns of Galtur, Kappl and See have good walking but the Sivretta card is a must, covering bus and cable cars throughout the valley. Thanks to all the staff for an enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front have a view down the valley, but the rooms to the side are fine with a view of th...

Stopped at the Hotel Jaegerhof Ischgl in the Austrian alps late in August. I would highly recommend this hotel. Lovely welcome by friendly and smiling staff got us off to a great start. Lovely room with great views and as always in Austria spotless. The food was excellant with plenty of choice and unfortunately my diet had to go out of the window. Hotel is in a slightly elevated position, which is no problem as there is a moving underground walkway directly outside the hotel which takes you down to the main street. Ischgl itself was a little quiet in summer ,as with a lot of winter skiing resorts, but the music and friendly atmosphere in the Eagle pub was a welcome retreat after a hard days walking.Although on the downside for non smokers, smoking is still allowed inside. Area itself is great for walking and buying the Silvretta card is a must as it covers all transport and chairlifts for a very reasonable price. Many thanks once again to the staff at the hotel.

We have just had two weeks at the Jagerhof and would highly recommend this hotel.

The owners and all the staff are so very friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff.
The food is excellent, with plenty of choice and service excellent.
The rooms are beautiful and spacious.
There is a computer with free internet access in the lounge.
The hotel is ideally situated in a quiet part of Ischgl, but so handy for lifts etc. and Ischgl itself is ideally situated in the Paznaun valley.

If you are thinking of a holiday in Ischgl or the Paznaun valley, then go for the Jagerhof - you will not be disappointed.
There are no "ifs" or "buts" and we would certainly return, without hesitation.

Room Tip: We had a super room at the front of the hotel, looking up the valley, but talking to other guests...
