“Great hotel and great hospitality.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

Stayed at this hotel for a week in march 2013 for a ski holiday.
As our original was overbooked we got placed at hotel Pramstraller, and were given a "wohlfühlzimmer" which are the best ones in the hotel.
The beds were the best i ever slept on during a ski holiday en the bathroom was superb, although the window between the bathroom and bedroom can be disturbing.
The room was very clean and the bathroom spotless,
The hotel is a bit from the centre but the skibus stops right in front of the hotel (Line A for the penken and the red line for the horberg which is much less crowded).
The food is a 5 course meal which is good and very tastefull, also there is a nice bar in the hotel.

As the opening times of the wellness are between 16:00 and 19:00 we did not try it because of the apres-ski.

The only thing which needs an improvement is the quality of the towels, which are a little old and worn.

Overall a great experience and would definitly stay here again with the family Pramstraller.

Excellent service and spa facilities.
The half board menu was very varied and several courses each night.
Pizzas were very good and available if you asked without extra charge. Menu main courses were traditional Austrian gastronomy.
Room towels were no good too small and thin. Bring your own towels.
Location for ski-bus perfect literally right outside the hotel front door and ski room. Get the A. Bus back from penkenbahn or you'll end up at the railway station.

We booked a week in June at this hotel. It is a short walk from the town centre - therefore quiet but very accessible. We were given a very friendly welcome and service throughout. The rooms have obviously recently been refurbished, and the room (including beds) most comfortable.

The breakfast was limited as regards hot food (eggs) but plently of choice of cold. The evening dinner had seven courses (I only once managed 5!) and you had to order the main course the night before. Having said that - the food was always very good - and once a week there is a barbecue. You are also given a daily sheet at breakfast giving you recommendations as to what to do - and a weather forecast. But all in German!

The weather whilst we were there was very hot all week (storms only in the evening) - so we were very fortunante. A word of warning - the hotel does not have air conditioning - which meant that, with the humidity - you got quite warm at times!

All in all a very impressive hotel that we throughly recommend

Wifi works well in rooms, alot of decor etc is very old hat which might irratate some. I paid extra to get an appartment / 2 bed thing. Boot rack is not heated,
what is really really annoying is theres a decent resturant thats part of this hotel - but any half board guest - MUST choose from a set menu - 2 or 3 choices each evening. there is no option to have food from the normal menu, not even if by paying extra - no idea why this is the case. Some of meals I didnt not really eat at all. Need to be quick at breafast time to get scrambled eggs ( which for a hotel are GReAT - no milk-ed down slop at all ).
All in all would book here again - one thing need to say is the resort - Mayrhofen - should be renamed MAN-Hofen - there must be 99 blokes to 1 girl in this area - mostly drink far to much and fightover the one girl - saw many a punch up here - inc. one poor chap got a glass in the face - Police/Security response was rapid though - alot of Mace action and truncheon wacking ! If going take your own girl and keep her locked up at night ;o)

Room Tip: call and ask for an upgrade - def worth the extra £ -

It may be a little walk from the main street but the ski bus stops just outside around 9am every morning. Our room was quite spacious, with a balcony overlooking a quiet street so we slept soundly every night. The decor was very modern as I believe it had only recently been updated. The spa area was a little disappointing as it was really just a sauna and steam room, you have to pay extra for the jacuzzi bath and for the rental of the bathrobes. The food was typically Austrian, and we had a lot of different pork dishes thoughout the week. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here but would probably try a different resort next time as we found the slope area a bit limited.

I went skiing with my two teenage sons during the first week in April. This is the first time we've been to Austria adn we thought it was fantastic.
The Pramstraller is excellent. Spotlessly clean, well organised (the skibus stops literally right outside) and everyone is very friendly, particularly our waiter in the restaurant.

The food is first class and there's plenty of it.

I can't recommend it highly enough.

Hotel is found at bottom of village in a quiet area. Benefits from ski bus stop outside front door. Food is excellent with 5 courses nightly . Breakfasts are good with a large selection of breads, cheese, meats ,cereals and bacon and eggs. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel has a lovely bar area . Very clean good sized rooms. At night hotel is very quiet for those after an early night. Couldn't fault it
