“Good feeling !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

Most happy to have stayed there approx 5 nights. Quiet, clean, amazing flowers. Nice areas to relax outside, hamacs available. Very responsible owners who take time to orient yourself. Breakfast was adequate. Very friendly people, just what you find in small rural towns. Close to good restaurants and supermarket.

My husband and I stayed at Dona Maria's for six nights in December, having extended our stay because we were having such a good time. Dona Maria's was very clean and one of the best appointed hotels we stayed in during our Panama trip. Great bathroom. The owners and staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was included and had several excellent options. There are several nice lounging areas, an outdoor lounge with hammocks and barbeque area, a parking area in the back, and beautiful landscaping (gorgeous flowers). Plus, the friendly hotel parrot was a hoot. We liked Pedasi very much -- a small, friendly, relaxed town with lots of good restaurants within easy walking distance. You won't go wrong staying at Dona Maria's.

Room Tip: Most of the rooms are on the second floor above the owners' home and the dining patio. I'm s...

Can't say enough about Hostal Dona Maria and the two sisters who run the place. They were so accommodating and friendly, helping us find things to do around Pedasi. The room is nice and comfortable, with a really big shower. The common areas are comfortable and immaculate. Daily breakfast was VERY tasty and filling. The sisters who run the place set us up with a tour to Isla Iguana with Terry, and even called to make sure we got there okay (it's a 45 minute walk or $5 cab ride - we walked). The place was nicely decorated for Christmas and when there was a blackout (which lasted about 90 minutes), the ladies set up candles in mere minutes. Great on every level and would love to stay here again.

Room Tip: All the rooms seemed just as nice in the main building.

Easy to find on the main street of Pedasi, this little hostal has a very friendly hostess (Marila) and staff. The breakfast menu is great and the omelets are especially recommended. The main plaza, church, and several fine restaurants are within a few blocks walk. Children carolers visited one evening during our four day visit. Terraces in front and back provide a great place to lounge and there is also a sitting area with hammocks in the back of the hostal. If you are looking for an informal and economical place to stay while visiting the Azuero Peninsula, this is it.

Room Tip: Toward the back of the building will have less street noise.

What a wonderful stay in Doña María. The hostel's owner and her family made us feel right at home. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

The rooms are nice, with good bathrooms and excellent mattresses.

Breakfast is also very good, they even let me make my own coffee.

Another nice touch was the "lora" (parrot) in the breakfast area... just be careful, she bites strangers! ;)

Will be back for sure on my next trip to Isla Iguana.

Room Tip: Rooms on the main building are closer to the living room area/balcony on the 2nd floor. Rooms in the...

You cannot go wrong staying here. We have been here for 8 days over Carnivale and it has been the BEST! The Carnivale parades go right past the front and you are only 2 blocks from all the action at the town square. You are within easy walking distance of over 10 good restaurants, a general store, gas station, ice cream shop, laundromat and more. Rates are very reasonable and include your choice of 9 different breakfast that includes a big plate of fresh fruit, great coffee, jam, choice of cheese and great service. The rooms are kept very clean, with fresh towels. Each room has individual air conditioners with remotes and a 3speed ceiling fan. The rooms are on the second floor so when you open your window you get a nice breeze off the ocean 24 hours a day. The beachs are close by and a couple are within walking distance.

Room Tip: The 4 end rooms mean that you are separated from your neighbor by the bathroom. The north side rooms...

The hostal is built over her mothers orignal home. The rooms are of a good size and the showers very nice. The AC works very well and was needed during our stay. The hostal is centrally located and has a nice varanda upstairs that was enjoyable in the mornings. Breakfast is served and its not a buffet, but cooked to your order and it's a great way to start the day. The rate was $55 per night and that included breakfast and taxes.

Room Tip: Very comfortable and the AC worked well
